Partez pour une journée inoubliable à travers les sites emblématiques du Débarquement en Normandie : Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach et le Cimetière Américain. Une immersion émouvante dans l’histoire de la seconde guerre mondiale. En plus de ces lieux incontournables, l’excursion offre une flexibilité exclusive : sur place, vous trouverez plusieurs musées consacrés à la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Leur visite est facultative et non incluse dans le tarif, mais si vous souhaitez enrichir votre expérience, il vous suffira d’en discuter avec votre chauffeur. ➡️ Selon vos préférences et le temps disponible, il pourra adapter l’organisation de la journée afin d’inclure l’un de ces musées (par exemple le Musée Overlord ou Utah Beach), tout en garantissant votre retour ponctuel et sécurisé. Une expérience à la fois personnalisée et mémorable, combinant les lieux de mémoire les plus marquants et la possibilité d’approfondir votre visite à travers des musées de renommée internationale.

Votre chauffeur et guide (selon option choisie) viendront vous chercher directement à l’endroit convenu : hôtel, gare ou terminal croisière. Il vous accueillera avec une pancarte nominative afin de faciliter la rencontre. Vous prendrez ensuite place à bord d’un véhicule moderne, confortable et climatisé, pour une journée mémorable à travers l’histoire.
Après environ 2 heures de route depuis Le Havre, vous atteignez Utah Beach, première plage libérée par les troupes américaines le 6 juin 1944. Vous découvrirez les bunkers, les vestiges du Mur de l’Atlantique et, en option, le musée qui retrace les opérations militaires. Votre guide vous expliquera comment les troupes du général Roosevelt ont réussi à percer les défenses allemandes avec des pertes relativement limitées. ➡️ Une étape qui introduit parfaitement la journée, en montrant la stratégie alliée et l’importance de cette plage.
Après 40 minutes de trajet, vous arrivez à la Pointe du Hoc. Ce site spectaculaire, perché sur des falaises de 30 mètres, témoigne encore aujourd’hui de la violence des combats. Les cratères de bombes et les bunkers en ruine rappellent l’assaut héroïque des rangers américains qui ont escaladé la falaise sous le feu ennemi. ➡️ Un lieu impressionnant et chargé d’émotion, qui illustre le courage des soldats.
Un court trajet de 15 minutes vous conduit jusqu’à Omaha Beach, surnommée « la sanglante Omaha ». Cette plage reste l’un des lieux les plus poignants du Débarquement. Ici, les troupes américaines ont subi les pertes les plus lourdes en affrontant des défenses allemandes redoutables. Marcher sur cette plage, c’est ressentir l’histoire et comprendre le prix de la liberté. Pause déjeuner : vous aurez la possibilité de vous restaurer sur place (sandwichs, collations rapides) ou, si vous préférez, de profiter d’un petit restaurant typique sur la route, sélectionné pour son authenticité et sa cuisine locale. ➡️ Un moment fort de la journée, empreint à la fois d’histoire et de convivialité.
Enfin, après seulement 10 minutes de route, vous atteignez le Cimetière Américain de Colleville-sur-Mer, face à Omaha Beach. Ce lieu de mémoire rend hommage à plus de 9 000 soldats américains tombés lors de la bataille de Normandie. Vous y verrez les alignements parfaits de croix blanches, le mémorial, la chapelle et la vue imprenable sur la mer. ➡️ Une visite émouvante, propice au recueillement et à la réflexion sur le sacrifice de toute une génération.
En fin de journée, votre chauffeur vous ramènera à votre lieu de départ initial (hôtel, gare, terminal croisière ou adresse convenue), en toute sécurité et dans le respect des horaires prévus.

Pour votre prise en charge, rendez-vous à l'endroit indiqué dans votre confirmation de réservation, que ce soit depuis Le Havre ou Honfleur. À l'hôtel, attendez dans le hall ou à l'entrée principale. Au terminal de croisière, dirigez-vous vers la sortie, où votre chauffeur vous attendra avec une pancarte à votre nom. Dans tous les cas, notre centre de coordination vous contactera pour vous fournir les informations du chauffeur et s'assurera du bon déroulement de votre journée.

Absolutely brilliant. Our tour guide Mathilde was a wealth of knowledge and fascinating local insights. Our driver Modjy was pleasant, courtious and very professional. Our group of seven (ages 4 to 67) all came away eager to do individual research in order to gain a deeper understanding of the events that Mathilde had introduced us to. We spent 10 hours with Mathilde and Modjy and every minute was fascinating and a joy. Highly recomended, a most rewarding day.

An excellent driver, Adel, with a great tour guide, Sunny. Picked the 6 of us up at the cruise ship for a drive to Normandy. Sunny was very good at giving g us information about the country side we were passing through, the areas we were to visit and WWII . Did not rush us and gave us options. Incredible day with private tour guide who helped us understand all the intricacies and details of the D-Day planning, landings, and battles. Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Pont Du Hoc, bunkers, craters, hedgerows, and more. The Memorial was particularly special as we explored the chapel, cross headstones, and the wall of names of soldiers who have not yet been found. Our guide helped me contact the Visitor Center to arrange a remembrance of my grandfather's best friend who survived D-Day but died a month later. (I had not known to arrange it prior to the trip). We sanded his stone with sand from Omaha Beach (to help his name stand out in pictures) and placed an American and French flag at his grave. Such an amazing experience with my daughter! And the hospitality was incredible- we even stopped for omelettes and gallettes. We also added a round-trip transfer to and from our cruise port for added convenience and were so glad we did. Great trip!
