Visite du musée du château et ses environs. L'ensemble du château de Bauska se compose de deux sections. Le château de l'Ordre Livonien, construit au milieu du XVe siècle, est le plus ancien - il ne reste que des ruines. Une partie plus récente de l'ensemble, construite à la fin du XVIe siècle, est la résidence des Kettler, les ducs de Courlande.
Visite du musée de la place et des jardins. Rundāle Palace - l'un des joyaux cachés de Lettonie le palais baroque de Rundale. Conçu par l'architecte Italien Bartolomeo Rastrelli, célèbre pour l'Ermitage et Peterhof en Russie, c'est tout simplement l'un des bâtiments les plus étonnants de la région baltique. Le palais a été construit de 1736 à 1768 comme résidence d'été pour le duc de Courlande, Ernst Johann von Biron.

We had a great trip and our Driver was amazing! The Palace and Castle were wonderful and we had a nice stop for lunch and our driver took us by an old Palace and the MI-26 helicopter which was amazing! Just a great day and I would recommend this tour to anyone in the area!
We enjoyed the tour. From the pick up from our hotel it was already professional with the ipad having our names on it until the drop off. Carlos was nice and told us information about the city. He even gave us a mini city tour which we appreciated a lot. The castles are a must see for those who are into history. Rundale Palace is a bit big but there is an option to do the short circle tour which doesn't include the gardens. You can see the gardens from the windows anyway so we didn't choose this. Also the weather didn't help as it was raining and snowing. We had our ljnch in the Palace too, there was a restaurant. Overall I recommend this tour and hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did.

My guide Martynas was polite, friendly, professional, a careful driver and exceptionally knowledgeable about Latvia's history. He explained each venue on the way and was able to answer all my questions. Huge advantage of going in the low season (November in my case) was that I was the only person touring around all three venues!
Martin, our driver and guide was a young man with a lot of knowledge of the history of the Baltic states. He was eager to answer any questions we had. On this trip, it was only my husband and I so it was a very personal trip. The guide escorted us to the entrance of each place we visited and made sure that we knew how to get to the car. We had a certain amount of time at each site but we were able to adjust based on our personal interest. We recommend this trip and hopefully you will get Martin as your guide.
Exceptional experience; the vendor was in constant communication with me prior to my arrival and my driver, Raivis was very punctual, arriving exactly on time. He was very friendly, professional and communicative. As mentioned in other feedback, you are pretty much hiring someone to drive you to these locations. If the driver may/may not have additional information, etc., they can share with you regarding the locations you'll visit, but I suspect not always. Our first stop was to visit Mezotne Palace, followed by a visit to Bauska Castle and then the finale, Rundale Palace. Each location had its own interesting aspects and history to explore. Rundale Palace felt a bit like visiting a mini Versailles; Raivis recommended I take the "long tour" and it didn't disappoint. Raivis allowed me to pretty much take my time on touring each location and I never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend him and this tour for those wanting to get away from the city and experience a bit of the countryside.

Rundale palace was nice though not overwhelming. Sigulda was nice too. However, these visits were made memorable because of our guides Ava and Krista of Red Fox tours.
It's just a little gem! Latvian Versailles. Beautifully restored and tastefully, we visited with a French-speaking guide and had lunch in the small cafeteria, soup of the day with meatballs for 4€50. There were 4 of us at the table, we couldn't finish the hearty souppot or have dessert!
