Le Waimakariri est un cours d'eau de la région de Canterbury en Nouvelle-Zélande, situé sur l'île du Sud. La rivière elle-même est un endroit populaire pour les activités de plein air, y compris le jet boating, le rafting et la pêche.

La cascade Devil’s Punchbowl est l’une des plus hautes de la région avec une magnifique cascade de 131 mètres (430 pieds). Piste est une promenade courte et facile à modérée avec des séries d'escaliers.
Il s'agit d'un système de grottes naturelles qui coule sous les Alpes du Sud. Le ruisseau coule à travers la grotte, et les visiteurs ont la possibilité de marcher à travers la grotte alors que le ruisseau court à côté et sous vous. La grotte mesure environ 362 mètres de long où vous pouvez marcher.

Price was fair. Our driver was prompt and communicated the night before. We appreciated knowing the type of vehicle we were getting. He went as far as offering two different types of van for us to choose. Dave drove well, asked often if we needed to stop for rest or stretching. He was patient and informative about sights. The day went smoothly and we’re grateful for his respectful demeanor. We saw a lot in one day!

Sunny was an excellent driver and tour guide—very knowledgeable and detailed in his explanations throughout the journey. He shared interesting insights about the places we visited and made the trip both educational and enjoyable. We were picked up at the designated bus stop on time and driven out to Arthur’s Pass National Park by our guide SUNY, he was attentive to our needs, the car was clean and he had cold water for us, he took us to all of the sites we wanted to see, we stopped for lunch at a cafe and had time to rest, he then took us to the CBD which wasn’t on the agenda, but my wife wanted to do some shopping, we had a very nice day

Wow! An incredible day trip filled with everything Lakes, giant rock formations, hiking, a waterfall, and an impressive engineered bridge. A perfect taste of the South Island.
