Prise en charge à votre hôtel : Départ matinal de votre hôtel pour admirer l'inoubliable lever de soleil sur Angkor Wat, le complexe de temples le plus célèbre du parc archéologique d'Angkor. L'ensemble du site archéologique couvre une superficie de 400 kilomètres carrés et a été déclaré site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 1992.
Temple Bayon : Vous trouverez ici le temple principal Bayon du roi Jayavarman VII. Elle est célèbre pour ses 37 tours aux décorations sculpturales et ses imposantes parois rocheuses. Terrasse des Éléphants : Comme son nom l'indique, cette attraction se compose de trois plates-formes entourées d'éléphants sculptés dans la pierre représentant une chasse à l'éléphant. Terrasse du Roi Lépreux : Elle est considérée comme l'une des plus belles œuvres d'art khmères. Le nom vient du roi Yasovarman Ier, qui construisit la première ville d'Angkor et mourut de la lèpre. Le relief est très détaillé et extrêmement bien conservé. Phimeanakas : Le temple royal est l'un des plus petits temples d'Angkor. Au sommet de la pyramide de 12 mètres de haut, vous avez une vue magnifique sur l'ensemble du site archéologique d'Angkor Thom.
Ce petit temple est situé à environ 4,5 km d'Angkor Wat et ne fait pas partie des principales zones touristiques d'Angkor car les bus touristiques n'atteignent pas le site. Il n'y a donc pas trop de monde et il y a suffisamment d'espace pour explorer le temple du roi Jayavarman VII avec notre guide.
Avant de visiter le complexe de temples le plus célèbre appelé Angkor Wat, notre chauffeur vous conduira à Ta Prohm. Le « Temple de la Jungle », construit par Jayavarman VII en l'honneur de sa mère. Le temple a été pratiquement englouti par la jungle. L'impressionnante architecture du Bayon se fond dans la forêt tropicale. Ce décor inoubliable est devenu célèbre grâce au film « Lara Croft : Tomb Raider » avec Angelina Jolie. C’est un spectacle inoubliable de voir la nature absorber une ancienne civilisation. Certainement l'un des points forts de la visite d'une journée à Angkor Wat.
Après un court trajet en voiture, explorez Angkor Wat, le temple le plus célèbre du parc historique d'Angkor. Angkor Wat avec sa pagode était autrefois le centre du puissant royaume khmer. Vous pouvez monter les marches raides jusqu'au sommet de la tour et profiter d'une vue magnifique sur le site du patrimoine mondial d'Angkor. Votre guide vous racontera des histoires passionnantes sur l'Empire khmer et ses rois d'autrefois. Une chose est sûre, vous ne vous ennuierez pas. Vos pieds seront peut-être un peu fatigués, mais ce site classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en vaut la peine.

We engaged Royal Angkor Tours for a 5-day private tour covering Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) and Phnom Penh, and the experience exceeded our expectations. As I was travelling with my very senior-aged parents, it was important for us to have Mandarin-speaking guides. Royal Angkor Tours arranged excellent guides for us, especially our guide in Angkor Wat, Ms Lai who was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, kind, and highly accommodating throughout the trip. The drivers were equally caring and attentive. They helped accommodate our dietary requirements, recommended excellent restaurants, and adjusted the itinerary according to our pace and preferences, which made the journey very comfortable for my parents. The hotels selected for us — Borei Angkor Resort & Spa and Palace Gate Hotel & Resort — were wonderful choices. Both hotels beautifully combined traditional charm with modern comfort. Without us even requesting in advance, they thoughtfully arranged connecting rooms for our family, which made our stay feel especially warm and convenient. The locations were also excellent. Private tours are naturally more expensive than standard group tours, and it may be possible to find cheaper alternatives elsewhere. However, Royal Angkor Tours delivered reliable quality, professionalism, comfort, and peace of mind throughout the trip. A special mention to Mao Sarath, who coordinated our tour arrangements. He was consistently responsive, clear in communication, and always willing to recommend the best options for us. We are truly happy we chose Royal Angkor Tours for our Cambodia journey. For anyone looking to explore Cambodia with comfort, safety, flexibility, and excellent service, I would highly recommend them.

What an amazing guide, what an amazing tour of the main temples!! we decided to go with Royal Angkor tours on our second day. The guide (Khemrint) was very knowledgable, full of energy and it was a really pleasant tour! We visited Preah Khan, Neak Pean Ta Som morning, Banteay Srei and Bantey Samre in the afternoon and would definitively recommend Khemrint and the agency to anyone thinking of visiting the temples. We should have also booked our main temple tour with Khemrint on our first day!

We had an amazing time doing a private day tour, starting with sunrise at Angkor Wat and then the highlighted temples. Our tour guide Mr. Dong and our tuk-tuk driver Mr. Hoy were both very interactive and made our experience feel very personal. Mr. Dong is very knowledgeable about Angkor Wat and Cambodia, and we learned a lot. We actually ate all our meals with them since we were enjoying their company so much!! They were also extremely flexible, bringing us to the nearby floating village after the Angkor Wat tour and introducing us to some local people. They had cold towels and water for us throughout the day as well. It was a very memorable day and we highly recommend this tour, please ask for Mr. Dong and Mr. Hoy!!

So we booked a tour the day before through Royal Angkor with our guide Mr Sok Lee and it was easily my favorite day of our trip through SE asia! He met us bright and early (4:30a) with our tuk tuk driver and took us directly to Angkor Wat to see the sun rise (highly suggest buying tickets in advance online $37). It's late in the season so crowds were minimal (but it was extremely humid so the extra water they provided was KEY). Also be prepared to walk a ton and climb some steep stairs! We spent most of the early morning going around getting all sorts of fantastic historical context and in depth explanations of the beautiful hindu carvings as well as how the temple was used during religious ceremonies, then the tuk tuk driver picked us up with cold towels and water. After that we stopped for a quick, early lunch, then went to Ta Prohm to explore the "Tomb Raider" temple. It is a breathtaking site that has begun to be taken back by nature. Lee told us the background of it being dedicated to both the mother of the king who built it and the mother of buddha as well as some knowledge of the local flora (which was of particular interest to my partner). He covered the history of the temple as both a buddhist and hindu religious site and the parts of it that are no longer standing. Then we drove to Angkor Thom (after more cold towels and water) to see the elephant terrace, terrace of the leper king and the Bayon. My partner was feeling especially tired and she was able to stay in the tuk tuk to see those sites from the road while Lee and I walked through the winding passages of the Bayon and met them at the end (with yet more cold towels and water). We would not have been able to have even a percentage as good of a time as we did without Mr Lee and our wonderful driver. Lee provided so much incredible information and context to the beautiful temples that we walked around (as well as some we saw from the road) and brought it all to life. The tour had history, philosophy, humor, great photo ops, and even a little flora that we genuinely would not have gotten without our trusty guide. Royal Angkor was super responsive and set us up to have a fantastic day, I only wish we were in Siem Reap longer so that we could do the 3 or even 5 day tour. I will absolutely be booking again (because there's no way I won't be coming back), like the title said, I would give a million stars if I could! Angkor Wat was a bucket list item for me and I can't think of a better place to have booked it. Thank you Royal Angkor and Mr Sok Lee!

We did the temple tour in Angkor Wat with Sok Ly and were absolutely thrilled! He made the whole tour incredibly exciting and imparted his knowledge in a very understandable way. We had an afternoon tour of Angkor Wat and Bayon temple. I’m very glad that we didn’t just turn up on our own. Having a private guide felt a bit indulgent but the cost was fair and we learned so much more than if we had just gone on our own. Mr Sok Ly was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and we felt we could ask questions readily. I highly recommend this tour
