Great experience, would highly recommend. I never thought you could experience something with so much culture within Budapest wine region. Guide and vineyards were amazing and provided a great experience.

Etyek is truly a special place, and we’re glad that the vineyards and your guide made the tour so enjoyable and culturally rich. Thank you for your recommendation — we hope to welcome you back for another great wine experience in the future! Warm regards, The Sweet Travel Team
As as certified sommelier, this tour was fascinating. Many grape varietals either not available in the US or rarely seen in the US were highlighted on this tour such as furmint and juhfark. Each vineyard and winery was comfortable and welcoming, as were the proprietors / winemakers. The final stop of the tour was especially memorable due to the ambiance of the cantina and the quality of the food. The proprietor was very hospitable. Peter was our guide and he was quite knowledge about not just the wineries and wines we visited but about the Hungarian wine industry.

Excellent guide. Visited energetic, entrepreurial young winemaker at Optimum planning to offer sparkling wines. Lovely wines, particularly his rose. Followed by visiting very upscale Kuria. Super Pinot Noir.
Dear Philip_W, Thank you for sharing your review with travellers through this platform. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed the wine tasting and you like the Hungarian wines. It was a great pleasure to be hosting you. I look forward to welcoming you back in near future. Kind regards, Kata Gyevát Dobó
We had a great time on our tour. Our driver was fantastic and we really enjoyed all of the conversations we had with him. We enjoyed the two wineries we visited, one larger and one much smaller. We learned so much about the different wines and felt like we understood more about the Hungarian wine industry and history. It was clear how passionate and educated they were and it was very informational. We also receiver many more samples than we anticipated, 5 at one and 8 at the other, which was a nice surprise. We liked getting to try such a variety and learn about the different grape varieties grown in the region. We would highly recommend this activity to others!

Excellent tour and wines were fabulous. We were transported in a Mercedes car and were hosted by the owner of the first vineyard who gave a very personal insight into her business and her passion for wine. The food and wines were very good. Excellent experience.

This was very well done. Professional tour guide/limo driver. Well-selected wineries to try. The wine in Hungary is nascent, but will mature into an impressive wine region soon, no doubt. Also gets you out of the immediate Budapest area to see more of the region. Highly recommend.
