Kompong Phluk est une communauté permanente qui a basé son économie sur la pêche et est entourée de forêts inondées. Pendant la saison sèche, vous pourrez voir des maisons sur pilotis s'élever jusqu'à 8 mètres dans les airs pendant la saison des pluies; l'eau monte à moins d'un mètre des édifices. Cette visite d'une demi-journée vous permettra de découvrir l'un des villages flottants les plus intéressants du lac TonLe Sap. Ayez une grande estime pour la vie des gens pendant que vous terminerez votre visite en admirant la vue sur ce lac gigantesque.

Montez à bord de notre minibus jusqu'au grand lac TonLe Sap (le plus grand lac d'eau douce d'Asie du Sud-Est) qui vous donnera un aperçu fascinant de la vraie vie cambodgienne. Prise en charge à votre hôtel par notre guide local (veuillez vous assurer de fournir les informations de votre hôtel au moment de la réservation). Le trajet peut prendre environ 40 minutes de Siem Reap jusqu'à l'embarcadère du bateau. Vous serez invité à monter sur un bateau privé menant au village flottant de Kompong Phluk (village flottant traditionnel khmer situé à 30 km de Siem Reap). Découvrez les hautes maisons sur pilotis, l'hôpital flottant, la pêcherie, l'ancien mode de vie du pays et le paysage naturel de la forêt de mangroves inondée. La promenade en bateau dure environ 1h30 à 2 heures et peut varier selon la saison.

Sieng was an excellent guide!
The tour was fantastic. Our guide Meng and our driver, Playboy (yes, playboy!) Made the trip extra special. Meng was so engaging from the start sharing some great history about both Cambodia and the lake. He was passionate, entertaining and full on energy. The village and experience on the water was fascinating. I was a little worried that as tourists we may be imposing on village life, but we were made to feel especially welcome. I feel privileged to have enjoyed such an engaging and beautiful experience. Thank you.
Bring a hat. Bring sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Very informative tour learning the fishing culture, exploring the market. Our tour guide Heng taught us a great deal about the religious beliefs regarding the Hindu/Bhuddist religions. The island temple was beautiful.

This was a definite five out of five experience led by experienced and enthusiastic guide Jack and Driver Mr. Nal. The boat tour was fascinating, educational, and interesting, including the stroll through the floating village to see how the people there live. A highlight was an optional canoe ride through the mangroves, which was relaxing and beautiful. Jack was superb in his responsibilities as trip leader. He is knowledgeable, college educated and smart, but most importantly passionate about his country of Cambodia and its people. This excursion exceeded our expectations and is something we would do again on a return trip with family!
