Beyond the Angkor Wat sunrise tour, the half day sunset tour on the floating village of Kampong Phluk is a must. We went on the private boat rides through the entire villages on stilt and mangrove forest, floating restaurant, market, fish and crocodile farm and all the way to discover a lifetime sunset on the great Tonle Sap lake, very beautiful, serene and we enjoyed every minute. Recommended this half day private sunset tour to floating village of Kampong Phluk to everyone.

Some people might be put off by going to Tonle Sap Lake in low/dry season but we found the experience amazing, surreal actually. To see how the village people have adapted to what Mother nature delivers yearly is unbelievable. River height in low season 1.4 metres...high season 10m+. You actually have to see it to believe it. Our guide was very great. Good English good knowledge. Our boat drivers were young boys and excellent at their jobs. You'll not see a better sunset....weather permitting

Our driver John was on time for pick up (big bonus in my mind). Car was clean and comfortable. The floating village was not “floating” as it was dry season. But feel it was an amazing experience none the less. Seeing these homes on stilts was next level ( no pun intended 😀). John our driver/guide was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend. DC Australia

Lovely half day tour to explore the floating village of Kampong Phluk till sunset on the great Tonle Sap lake offered by Siem Reap Tour Guide and their team are awesome, highly recommended for the best experience not only the Angkor Wat and Siem Reap tours also floating village tour are awesome.
Booked the river cruise sunset tour to explore the floating village of Kampong Phluk, mangrove forest with canoe rides and Tonle Sap great lake with Siem Reap Tour Guide, our family of 6 had a blast time. Our private guide Mr Sam is faultless and very friendly to our family and kids also explained all the way of people life down there, very interesting. Recommended this tour agent to everyone.
On our private Angkor Wat tour, our guide Sorphorn suggested that to make the most of our short visit to Siem Reap they could take us to visit the floating villages on the morning of our return flight, after which they'd drop us off on the airport. This was a great idea which we took up - so instead of wasting the morning just haniging around to wait for the flight, we were able to fit in another unique experience. We were picked up after breakfast from the hotel by our guide and driver Sojeat. On the way, Sorphorn told us about the history and unique way of life of the villages. Arriving at Kampogn Phluk, we boarded the boat to take us along the canals past the village and through mangrove forests to see the lake. We then returned to the village where we had a walk and viewed the buddhist monastery (had this been the wet season, the street would have been under water so we would have sailed through the village instead of walking). After the visit we still had time for lunch at a local restaurant, following which our driver took us to the airport in good time for our afternoon flight.
