Luis was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and engaging! We felt very safe with his driving. The tour was excellent. A great way to see Douro Valley for a day! From the wine to the boat trip to the lunch it was all educational, enjoyable and relaxing. Would highly recommend !
Our Douro Valley wine tour is one of the single best tours we’ve ever taken!!! The personal approach, the delightful boat tour along with our estate wine tastings were simply marvelous. This was such an amazing experience! My boyfriend and I booked this tour last minute and it exceeded all of our expectations! It was a very full day so expect to be tired at the end but I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a smaller group and a combination of drinking and learning and amazing views. We had a group of 8 and our guide Gisela had such great energy and answered all of our questions. We tasted so many ports and learned a lot about the valley history and culture at each of our stops.
This was such a fun experience. It is a pretty full day, our guide, Rui, was amazing. He made a bonus stop where we got to see a breathtaking g view of the valley. He explained the history of the valley, the wine industry, and even the river. A real fountain of knowledge and an aspirational comedian which made the tour a lot of fun. On the way back to Porto, he gave us so many tips ranging from where to watch the sunset, watch the World Cup, or have dinner at a hidden gem. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Overall, the winery tours, the wine tastings, and the lunch could not have been better. Great memories were made!!
