Excellent Downton Abbey day tour from London with Barry Tours! Barry Ivens is extremely knowledgeable, very personal and professional and his classic black London Cab was very comfortable. We had a lovely day, learned a lot not just about Downton Abbey but London and England in general. Truly delightfull, highly recommend!!!

Excellent day tour provided by Barry Tours. Very personable tour guide, gave a lot of very interesting information, very knowledgeable. Overall a most enjoyable day! Loved the Black Cab and would absolutely use the same driver and cab again.

My family and I had a wonderful day visiting Highclere Castle and other beautiful Downton Abbey hot spots. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Downton Abbey info, the history of all the areas we visited, and London and UK history overall. He was prepared with pictures from the show/movies at different sites so you could remember specific scenes as they related to the various locations. It was a delight to get to know him on our journey in his black cab. Barry was timely the entire day -- on time arrival, recommended times spent at each spot, and even provided helpful hints on shortening our delicious lunch stop (the British do like a long mealtime). Highly recommend Barry for any tours he runs! As Barry Tours notes in their description, keep in mind that your Highclere Castle entrance tickets need to be purchased in advance, directly by you, and they are not always open and/or available. I think it would still be worthwhile even if you could only “visit” the castle from across the lawn, but you would miss out on the castle, grounds and the tea, dining and gift shop areas.

Barry and this tour more than lived up to all of the praise I had read in prior reviews here. Barry was very prompt in picking us up and very well informed about London, the Cotswolds and Highclere Castle. He seemed to know everyone we encountered in the villages and the stops we made to visit important locations from the series. The tour was thoughtfully laid out to immerse us in the whole Downton Abbey vibe. I cannot recommend it enough!

What a marvelous day! If I could rate this tour more than 5 stars, I would. Barry was very personable and friendly and full of information about Highclere Castle and the Downton Abbey filming sights. As "super fans," my friend and I were delighted to see so many filming sights and their connection to Downton Abbey. Thank you for a fantastic day!

It was a fabulous day ! Barry pick us up right in front of our hotel . From start to finish he was very accommodating. Very informative about the info on Downton Abby & had photos to refresh our memory about the village locations & St Marys Church . Enjoyed the little stops in the villages & of course Highclere Castle . He took great photos of us at all locations so wewill have those memories. Will not hesitate to use his service again if we come back to the area ! 5 stars all the way , Thank you Barry for adding a great day to our vacation!!

Wonderful dream trip for our family. It was so personalized and flexible for our family's interests. Our driver even took our packages that we bought at the gift shop back to the car for us and took pictures for us as well. We had a blast!

Barry gave us an excellent tour through London and its surrounding communities. He explained the populations, the architecture and brought the areas to life. He then took us to Highclere Castle and the surrounding villages where they filmed Downton Abbey. It was a fantastic experience.
