On ne peut qu'être ébloui et enchanté par tant de beauté devant ces magnifiques objets d'art et leurs savoir-faire florissants et multiples. Cette visite permet de voir plus de 40 000 artisans locaux dans les souks de Marrakech. Vous découvrirez les merveilles des épices et des traditions marocaines utilisées internationalement et également par les Marocains depuis des centaines d'années. Le guide vous montrera comment les tapis traditionnels sont fabriqués à la main à partir de couleurs naturelles, et vous pourrez également voir comment le cuivre, le bois et d'autres objets originaux sont fabriqués dans les souks. Le guide veillera à ce que vous soyez à l'aise et que vous appréciiez votre visite.

Itinéraire
Nous commencerons par visiter les ateliers des artisans locaux (maroquinerie, forgerons, menuisiers, teinturiers, etc. et bien d'autres). Nous visiterons certains des meilleurs showrooms, bazars et boutiques, pour découvrir les meilleurs produits de notre artisanat, qu'on ne trouve pas au premier coup d'œil ! Du mobilier aux bijoux, lampes, accessoires, tapis et Caftan… tout est dans cette visite unique en son genre !
Le souk des teinturiers est situé dans la Médina, à proximité de la source Mouassine et de la mosquée du même nom, dans la moitié ouest de l'enchevêtrement de rues. Bien que ce souk ait perdu son activité il y a quelques années avec l'utilisation croissante des teintures industrielles, on peut encore y voir quelques petits ateliers où l'on pratique encore la teinture traditionnelle.
Considéré comme l'artère principale des souks de la Médina, le Souk Semmarine est accessible depuis la place Jemaa El Fna, dans un derb (allée de la médina) du même nom. Un nom qu'il tient des maréchaux-ferrants qui occupaient autrefois ce lieu stratégique pour ferrer les animaux des caravaniers, pendant que ces derniers faisaient leurs courses habituelles. Aujourd'hui, le Souk Semmarine est une avenue commerçante très colorée où l'on trouve principalement des marchands de tissus, de souvenirs, d'artisanat mais aussi des adresses uniques d'antiquités marocaines. Il représente l'entrée des souks spécialisés : épices, tapis, tissus, babouches... Une véritable caverne d'Ali Baba.

Amid found us at the meeting point and it was just the two of of us on this booking. It was a wet day so we got under cover in the souk. Amid shared a lot of interesting information about Morocco, Marrakesh, the souk and the artisans. Plenty of history and how that has shaped Marrakesh today. There were various stops at different shops of good quality. Friendly selling, tea along the way, but no pressure to buy. A great way to familiarise yourself with the various areas of the souk and assistance in getting a better deal if you are keen to make a purchase. If you want to see more artisans in action it would be good to go on a morning tour

Our Marrakech experience with Amid The day was full of excitement...Amid had given us a thorough tour to the places we want to go like the Souk of Medina, Jemaa El- Fnaa and many more...he was so patient and kind and very accommodating to answer the questions about the place. The history and the buildings are art itself. I even take notes of the history he had discussed about the place in Marrakech. He brought us to places that we can buy original and genuine products from Morroco, leathers and teapots, herbs and beauty products, as well as the recommended Hammam scrub 🤣 an unforgettable experience. We were glad our riad recommended Amid as our private tour guide. We're in Marrakech for a short visit on the weekend to celebrate me and my friends 50th 🎂! We thoroughly enjoyed our full-day private walking tour with Amid! He is very knowledgeable about Morocco’s history & culture, which made his explanations interesting and informative at each stop. He adjusted our itinerary to fit our interests and structured our day intelligently - visits to important sites followed by a relaxing rooftop to lunch, then shopping in the souks. As a shopping guide, Amid really excelled! We were given special showings by high quality merchants for only the product categories we wanted to see (rugs, spices, skin care, and stoneware).
