Martin was the highlight of our entire trip. So informative and fun to be around. He tailored the trip to exactly what we wanted to see and made the time fly by. We cannot recommend Martin enough!
Boston and surrounds are a beautiful area which is imbedded with American History and Martin is the best guide you can have to take you there
Excellent experience! Our host Martin was very knowledgable, very friendly and a safe driver. It was our first time visiting with two teens and he made our trip memorable. Would highly recommend!
We had the best and most informative day. It was our first visit to Boston and we wanted to see the Revolution War sites. Christian, a retired history high school teacher, was our guide and was the best we’ve ever had. He has a wealth of knowledge and made sure we saw all the important sites. I can only imagine how good he was as a teacher because he just kept telling us all kinds of interesting side stories to go along with what we saw. The 6 hour tour went by way too fast! Just a delightful day and so happy we booked this tour. It’s hard to pick out a favorite moment but the time we spent at the Old North Bridge was special because it was such a beautiful day. So many sites I felt like pinching myself and asking am I really seeing all of this? You won’t go wrong on this tour and if you are lucky, hope you get Christian as your guide.
Great experience Wood highly recommend Martin as your tour guide pick us up at the hotel precisely on time. Vehicle was clean. He’s very knowledgeable about history. Would happily do it again thank you.
Christian was an amazing tour guide. Shared all the historical information in such an engaging way - my 3 teenagers thought it was great!
Our family had Christian as our tour guide for this tour. Christian was so full of knowledge and shared so many things with us during our day together. This tour had us seeing the historical Freedom Trail. We got to go inside the Paul Revere house. We enjoyed getting to see MIT, walk Harvard campus as well as see the history in Concord and Lexington. Christian took us to a local seafood place for lunch and it was very tasty. We learned a lot and are so glad we booked this tour.
It’s such a pleasure to meet someone who both excels at his job and obviously loves doing it. Christian is not only extremely knowledgeable but he also possesses the ability to make the tour enjoyable for all ages. His interactions with our 9 year old grandson (our history buff) were a wonderful added feature to a thoroughly enjoyable and educational tour. Highly recommend!
My wife and I just spent the most fantastic day with Martin. On Friday, April 12, 2024, Martin picked us up at our hotel, The Liberty, and had a big, welcoming smile. Right their I knew it was going to be a great day. He started by using his iPad to show us several historical maps of where we were going and what things looked like back when. We toured the Freedom Trail in Boston, stopping at numerous vital buildings, homes, churches, and cemeteries. We learned many interesting facts and heard many amazing stories. Martin is very engaging! Our tour with Martin was a thrilling journey through time and knowledge. From the prestigious MIT and Harvard in Cambridge to the vibrant North End Little Italy, the historic USS Constitution, the engaging tea party museum, multiple meeting places frequented by George Washington and Paul Revere, and finally, a detailed visit through Lexington and Concord, Martin's detailed American history lessons were a revelation. He breathed life into our founding fathers and other key players in American history and the battles they fought, making the past come alive in a way we hadn't experienced since school. Martin also had us stop for lunch at the fantastic Summer Shack for a lobster roll and some great chowder. Plus, he gave us the best lunch and dinner suggestions for the following day. No joke, and I am being serious, these were two of the best restaurant suggestions my wife and I EVER had anywhere in the world. Fantastic food and service. Great ambiance and atmosphere. These eateries added to the total package of a great day and trip that Martin was instrumental in implementing. If you're truly passionate about history and exploring Boston's rich historical sites, I strongly recommend booking with Martin. Having experienced numerous tour guides in various cities worldwide, I can confidently say that Martin's tour stands out. His unique approach, warm, humorous, and respectful demeanor, and how he brings history to life make for an unforgettable and enriching experience. Book with Martin, and you will indeed have the trip and tour of a lifetime. Scott and Kelly Van Den Berg, Austin, Texas
