Poor confusing information on precise location and time of tour start! We received contradictory locations (which physically were over 10 mins walk apart ) and conflicting times of start ! One message said it commenced at 1 pm the other 1.30 pm !! Once we did find the tour guide he couldn’t have been more helpful but at this stage confusion reigned about the duration and content we were to receive , he offered us a refund but obviously having travelled to Niagara by car parking up etc etc we really had to do at least the boat trip (which we did go on to do …) The rest of the package wr had to skip as there simply was not enough time ….. Very very dissatisfied
We had a great experience, because we had gone in the tour on our own but didn't quite have a grasp, but with the tour guide (Kingsley) it all made sense.....and wow, he had a good and indepth knowledge of the whole falls and of course, without the tour, we would have missed places we didn't know existed like the tunnel leading to the falls directly.
We booked the Niagara Falls Small-Group Tour (Journey Behind the Falls + Boat Cruise) through Viator with see sight company. The instructions said to meet at “The Friendship Arch” behind Table Rock Welcome Centre at 12:30 pm, guide in a white See Sight polo shirt. Nobody turned up. We waited and searched for more than an hour. Niagara Parks staff had to help us. A See Sight person had no idea about our booking. The number they gave us went to voicemail. Another person later called but still couldn’t explain or fix anything. We had to cancel on the spot. We had travelled from the UK, rented a car and stayed overnight especially for this. My children were excited and ended up tired, confused and upset after standing around looking for a guide who never came. As a parent it was really hard to watch. Two big problems with Viator itself: 1. When we urgently needed help on the ground there was no easily accessible contact email or quick support channel. Without a local SIM it felt completely abandoned. 2. The meeting point “Friendship Arch” is obscure – hardly anyone on site knew what or where it was. A clear, well-known landmark would have been far better. We eventually received a refund, but a refund does not give us back the lost day or the experience my kids were looking forward to. A confirmed booking on Viator should mean a guide is actually there. It didn’t. This was a complete failure of both the operator and the platform that sold us the tour. I cannot recommend booking this (or similar tours) through Viator after this experience
It's a scam. The tickets cost $47 at the box office, but we bought them from you for $79. I am not going to buy anything else from this site.
Our instructor was Ashton from See Sight. He was awesome and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He will take his time with you .
We had a great experience. Our tour guide Diane was great
The guide was terrible. He seemed uninterested and kept mute throughout the trip. He hardly spoke 4-5 sentences. After a few minutes of walking he gave us our tickets and showed us the direction to the Niagara falls ride.
I was alone on the tour guide so the guy (kevin) take time to tell me a lot of story about the daredevils and history of the falls. It was pretty nice
Very, very confusing as to where pick up was to be. We parked in the far lot and did not look like any life in Power Plant so we kept going where we thought we could access the boat and we went a very long way when we realized we had to go back 😢 The tour guide was as helpful as he could be and waited for us, but we couldn’t make it back in time. I was very upset to lose $158 and then to have paid an additional $40 for parking. I called the office several times where I was told they were waiting for authorization to give me a credit. I asked for a call back and did not receive one. Situation is still unresolved, but intention to call again today.
A water bottle, sunscreen, comfy shoes, and a willingness to get wet are required! Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The guides are very accommodating.
