Maverick were great! What a lovely experience even for our kids aged 10, 12 and 13.
I have been wanting to take a Grand Canyon helicopter tour for well over a decade. Every time I drove past the Maverick Helicopters facility in Las Vegas, I told myself I’d do it eventually. Last Tuesday, the stars finally aligned, and let me tell you—it was worth every single penny and every bit of the wait. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my wife and me. From the second we arrived at the terminal, we knew we were in for a first-class experience. The facility is absolutely beautiful, with a great concession area for drinks and snacks, and completely spotless restrooms. The front desk staff members were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and super friendly. It’s clear they take immense pride in their operation, and their top-notch, beautifully maintained equipment reflects that perfectly. Our pilot was Cole Boliver, and he was outstanding. Not only was he an incredibly safe and inspiring pilot, but he was also a wealth of entertaining and educational information. He kept us captivated the entire flight, pointing out all the incredible sights. We got to take an amazing dive over Hoover Dam, flew all the way to the Grand Canyon where we saw the Skywalk from the air, and then did the ultimate: we descended 3,500 feet into the canyon itself for the "Wind Dancer" landing excursion. Down at the bottom, they serve a wonderful champagne refreshment right above the Colorado River. Neither my wife nor I drink alcohol, but they had plenty of water and snacks ready for us, which was perfect. An important tip for future travelers: If you are booking a tour here—especially during the sunny, hot summer months like July—book the early morning flight. Our check-in was at 6:15 AM for a 7:00 AM departure. By the time we wrapped up and got back around 9:30 or 10:00 AM, it was already getting quite hot outside. These modern helicopters have excellent air conditioning, but you are essentially sitting inside a giant glass bubble. When it’s 110°F outside, that sun is going to beat down, so going first thing in the morning is absolutely the way to do it. We chose to completely charter the entire helicopter to make it a truly intimate, special event for just the two of us, but even if you book a standard individual seat, you are going to get an unparalleled luxury experience. Thank you, Maverick, and a huge shout-out to Pilot Cole for making a dream 10 years in the making absolutely unforgettable!
Booked a family flight into the Canyon to celebrate my son’s 21st and daughter’s 17th birthday. Our pilot Chandler made this a truly memorable occasion for the whole family, I cannot recommend this enough, definitely a bucket list experience. Chandler was extremely knowledgeable about the local area and provided a fun and educational experience, he was engaging and really made this experience the highlight of our trip to Vegas. Thank you Maverick and Chandler.
It was really great, the check-in was fast, the excursion very, very beautiful, the pilot was good, not very strong at speaking slowly so that we could understand, but the images did the rest. Remember to eat something before leaving because nothing is provided except peanuts. However, cold water is provided.

Outstanding trip! The pilot was great and we had a smooth ride. The views are incredible. Landing in the canyon was a highlight for everyone. If you’re flying over the strip, the Grand Canyon or anywhere else in Vegas, go with Maverick!
Sometimes events beat your expectations, this is certainly one of them. Joe was an excellent pilot, the route they took was incredible proving us with spectacular views of lake Mead, Hover Dam, the West Canyon and Las Vegas Stip and Downtown. I highly recommend this trip, I hope everyone enjoys as much as my son and I did.
Outstanding pilot and helicopter! Scenery is amazing. I just wish they would fly more and not land in the canyon but I think it’s a fuel thing.
It is amazing! It was on our bucket list to go on a helicopter and this was spectacular. My husband and I took our 21 year old son to Vegas for his birthday. The pilot was so knowledgeable about the area, gave us a super smooth ride and was very friendly and funny. The ride and views were something out of a movie, especially as we descended into the Grand Canyon. I cannot recommend Maverick enough. We had a great time.
Wonderfully lush travel 45’ away and other 45’ back and still picnic inside the Grand Canyon!!!!!! Panoramic view from the outside, and literal immersion inside the Grand Canyon! It is so fascinating that my adjectives would need to be lapidated to attain the experience of immersion and emergence in such a human experience! In addition to the variety of places we fly over on and back. And still with second parade to supply! The pilot was great!!!! At the picnic came down a cooler with ice cream delights! There is time to stroll in this interdimensional stop! Fantastic!!! It's exuberant!!!!!!
