I booked for my parents. They loved the tour. Everything went smoothly. The guide was very nice and gave them good information about all the sights. They would recommend the tour.

This was a really interesting tour. It is a long drive out onto the peninsula but its the only way to go and an interesting experience of the scrub that is typical along the length of Patagonia. We were lucky to see pretty well all the animals on the national park leaflet. Of course we saw the penguin, sea lion and elephant seal colonies too. We appreciated the effort our driver guide made in getting us there and back and finding the local animals. P and N

Our excursion with a local guide was informative, he was well spoken in english and he was able to answer all our questions of life in Puerto Madryn. We enjoyed our time with him!

We were shuttled from the ships gangway to the end of the pier and there we were escorted to our Driver/Guide Luis.
The drive from Puerto Madryn was a long one, about 1hour 30minutes to Peninsula Valdes. This however was a main part of our excursion. Luis and ourselves were continually scanning the countryside and when any of us saw anything of interest Luis would slow the car right down or pull over to let us get a good look and take photos.
There were numerous herds of Guanaco and in one case a male chased a younger male across the road in front of us maintaining his superiority in the herd. We saw a variety of the native animals and birds. The only thing we missed was the Armadillo.
We opted not to stop at the Visitor Centre at the entrance to the reserve to save time. Once we arrived at the tip of the peninsular it was only a short walk to where the penguins were nesting. It was surprising the efforts they made to climb the hill to their nests.
From there another short drive and short walk to view the Sea Elephants. This was a bit of a disappointment. They were so far away. Luckily, I had my binoculars and Luis also had a pair and I had a good telephoto lens on my camera. The photos in the Viator advertising are misleading.
From there it was back to Puerto Madryn, with an in and out side trip to Puerto Pirámides. A lot of travelling but worth it.
