Excursion en Basse-Silésie au départ de Wroclaw

Description

This was an amazing site to see. The history, the beauty the fate. The tour of the castle is self guided with audio head sets. The guide that drove spoke in English and Polish and pointed out many sites along the way and shared much history. The only down side was missing the underground tunnels. That was not included in our tour.
Guide very willing to show us much as possible, ta King jack roads. The Castle is beautiful. The area is So Lovely.
The tour itself was great and the castle very pretty, and the story of the family interesting, but unfortunately the tour company 'missed' my booking and we where left waiting at our accommodation for an hour before I called them. Once we made contact we needed to wait another 30mins for a call back before being asked if we could do the tour the following day due to their mistake. Luckily this was possible for us, but it did mean that we missed other holiday activities and opportunities due to it being a Sunday and our late start to the day after sorting everything out. The tour was also mostly just transport and then we where left to do the activities ourselves at each location while the drive waited in the car.
Jacob was extremely knowledgable about historical and contemporary Poland. He was flexible with our group when it came to the timing of our stay. We would love to get a tour from Jacob again. Thank you!
From the start things didn’t go well …. Due to circumstances out of our control we had to change our accommodation. We provided our new address/ pick up point at least 7 days prior to the tour and guess what ? ….. they went to pick us up at the old address, so our tour was delayed about 1/2 hour. We were picked up by a private car which looks like the interior needs a good clean. Driver was friendly but was only a driver not a tour guide. This was unfortunate for us as we received no local knowledge or history of the region. He literally drove us to the destinations and bought the tickets for us , however time was wasted as tickets were not purchased ahead of time and driver had to stand in line to purchase tickets while we waited ….. we could of done this our selfs. Something we have never experienced before on a tour , we were given no time to meet back at the car which would be fine if it was just us , the problem with that is that if you have other people with you either you will be waiting for them or they will be waiting for you which happened to us. After saying this, The Church of Peace was beautiful and so was the Castle. Unfortunately for us Palmiarnia wasn’t anything special. In the description of the tour they mentioned Osowka - underground city made by Nazis but this wasn’t included in our tour , you will have to buy ticket by yourself. It would be nice if we were told this at the start of the tour. If you want to be driven from point A to point B with out any information this tour is for you.
Interesting day covering 3 amazing places, great guide, very knowledgeable. Relaxing day yet covered a lot of sightseeing.
Jarek was our guide for the day. He arrived promptly and was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a great day from start to finish. The Church of Peace was a real surprise and well worth a visit to see this amazing structure built from oak and wattle and daub. Next was the Underground City code named Riese meaning giant. A phenomenal piece of unfinished engineering that was Hitlers final venture. It was chilling imagining the number of forced Labour men and women brought in to get this project off the ground. Fortunately our audio guides were excellent but the Polish guide very unfriendly. It was so well hidden in the mountains. Quite amazing. We wanted to visit the Bhuddist Monastery at Darmskow but heavy snowfall made the road to the monastery impassable. Nonetheless we had an absolutely breathtaking ride though the snow lined forests. A magical journey. Thank you Jarek for a truly memorable day.
Dear Jennie, thank you for making our company a part of your stay in Poland and for letting us know about your experience. We are glad you liked it! We look forward to your next trip with us.
Booked a private day tour for myself and my wife. The guide was very friendly and the tour was in a spacious 9 seater minibus. All locations were fantastic to see and have a huge history behind them. Bring a good camera. Only downside was visiting the Complex Osowka, where the small group tour was by audio guide in English or by a person speaking only in Polish. If there was an option to pay extra for an English guide, I would have, given the history of the place as the Polish guide appeared to have a wealth of knowledge we could not tap into. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Wroclaw.
Picked up and dropped off on time, easy transition to and into the 3 destinations and audio tours for the castle and underground 'city.' Entertaining driver with a running history and current news on the local area.
pick-up by time, very nice guide speaking good English, vast knowledge, arriving by time to every stop point of the route. Generally a very good tour
