Option 2 seulement!

Black lake , Durmitor, Djurdjevića Tara bridge, Canyon Tara booked with Get Your Guide Start 7 am pick up, close to the hotel. Comfortable air-conditioning coach and a good rep, informative and looked after us well. My main comment would be that this trip is way too long for us - It’s 14 hours! If you’re only going to do one day trip and want to see as much as possible it’s a good choice but we just found it too long. Maybe they need to remove one of the items perhaps the second lake visit as it’s fairly similar to the first lake experience. - by the way, if one of your bucket list items is to swim in a lake, take your costume as you can at your own risk. The water is clear and cool. The monastery is very small like a very small village church, but beautifully decorating inside note some of it was scaffolded as they were cleaning it, also the Tara Bridge is covered in scaffolding as it’s being refurbished ( tour company forgot to mention that in their advertising 🫢). You can still get some decent pictures though. If you’re an adrenaline junkie the zip wire across is a must - fast and high and you have time to do it when you arrive at the bridge, €30. Our only negative is about the state of the toilets in the restaurant where we stopped for breakfast and the national parks, dirty, doors that don’t lock, no soap. And at the breakfast restaurant u had to buy paper from a lady outside! 😆. These establishments are happy to take your money for snacks and drinks and entrance fees to the Parks but don’t seem bothered about providing a basic clean toilet for the guests, so take sanitiser, tissues and have someone that can hold the door shut for you! If we came to Montenegro again, we would definitely hire a car for a couple of days because being on a big coach just highlighted to us how you have to go with a set timetable with a big crowd rather than stop where you want for how long you want and we could’ve seen other things at more of our own pace. Final comment about Get Your Guide- we posted a similar review to them as requested however it hasn’t appeared on their app, they only seem to have 5 star reviews on the app maybe selective on which reviews they upload to their app?, it’s good to have an independent site like this so you can read different range of experiences
This is very long trip with lot of driving. You seat in the car for a long time than actually explore the sites. Black lake is splendid natural beauty. Ostrog monastery is to do on the list. We are disappointed with Tara bridge, river & Canyon. Bridge was under construction and no safety railings, unable to get good photo. River and Canyon has not much water during our visit in May. Transport vehicle is not suitable for 4 adults travellers as it has no leg space and feel cramped and congested at the back.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would first like to mention that this tour is clearly described on Viator as a full-day Montenegro experience covering multiple major attractions across different regions of the country, including Durmitor National Park, Tara River Canyon, Black Lake, and Ostrog Monastery. Due to the nature of Montenegro’s mountainous geography, longer scenic drives are an essential part of experiencing these unique locations in a single day. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed Black Lake and Ostrog Monastery, which are indeed among Montenegro’s most remarkable natural and spiritual sites. Regarding Tara River Canyon, we would respectfully note that water levels in the Tara River during May are typically among the highest of the entire year due to snowmelt from the surrounding mountains. Additionally, temporary maintenance works on Đurđevića Tara Bridge are managed entirely by local authorities and unfortunately remain outside of our control. Concerning transportation, the vehicle provided corresponds to the group size stated in the booking, and guests who prefer larger vehicles or additional space are always welcome to request van or minibus upgrades before the tour date, depending on availability. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving our experiences and communication with future guests. Thank you once again for choosing Mont Travelers for your Montenegro tour from Podgorica.
There is a lot of driving involved relative to the time spent at the main sights and the Tara Canyon was a little disappointing as all the books tell you it’s the second deepest in the world but the bridge is nowhere near the deepest part, which is essentially inaccessible to all but mountaineers. However, you do see a lot of the country. The reason for the five stars is our guide, Vladimir Markovic, who was excellent. As well as being a good guide with perfect English, he was a great travelling companion and we ended the trip as good friends.
The tour was amazing. With my wife we went on August 2024 and because we didn't have much time decided to do this tour to see the northern part of Montenegro. We were so pleased that our tour operators Vlad was eager to tell us lots about the montenegrin history, and he also showed us some place that since me and my wife are nature lovers we loved them. Such as the tara bridge (i did the zipline, my wife was afraid to do it), the black lake(an alpine lake that has a really beautiful restaurant and really good food). I recommend this tour to everyone, and don't forget to do the zipline for me was an extraordinary experience
Great place for hiking and views, family, solo, or couples and friends will enjoy it. You can swim if not scared of a chili water.
Andry was a fantastic tour guide, very informative and accomadating. Its a long tour but very worthwhile with beautiful scenery, and we highly recommend the zipline!
awesome breathtaking amazing -not enough words to describe this place.the forest the lakes the bridge simply out of this world.dont forget some local products and omega.nature and some peoples work at it best
