Lors de cette excursion d'une journée passionnante, vous apprécierez le meilleur de la région de Campanie, y compris Sorrento, et une visite des ruines de Pompéi ou d'Herculanum. Votre chauffeur privé vous accueillera dans votre hébergement à Rome avant de vous diriger vers le site archéologique de Pompéi, l'ancienne cité détruite par l'éruption volcanique de 79AD. Nous recommandons fortement la mise à niveau pour inclure une visite guidée privée du site de renommée mondiale. Après une pause déjeuner, vous visiterez le pittoresque village côtier de Sorrento, où vous aurez le temps d'explorer et de profiter de la vue, avant de retourner à Rome avec votre chauffeur à la fin de la journée.

Pompéi est une ville et une commune de la ville métropolitaine de Naples en Italie, qui abrite les anciennes ruines romaines faisant partie des sites du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Il est l'une des preuves les plus importantes de la civilisation romaine et, comme un livre ouvert, fournit des informations exceptionnelles sur l'art, les coutumes, les métiers et la vie quotidienne du passé. La ville a resurgi de l'obscurité des siècles exactement comme elle l'aurait été lorsqu'elle a été inopinément enfouie dans l'épaisse couche de cendres et de lave qui s'est déversée de l'éruption dévastatrice du Vésuve.
Visite incluse uniquement si cette option de visite est choisie. Ercolano est une ville et une commune de la ville métropolitaine de Naples, Campanie du sud de l'Italie. Il se trouve au pied ouest du Vésuve, sur la baie de Naples, juste au sud-est de la ville de Naples. La ville médiévale de Resina a été construite sur le matériau volcanique laissé par l'éruption du Vésuve (79 après JC) qui a détruit l'ancienne ville d'Herculanum, dont le nom actuel est dérivé. Ercolano est une station balnéaire et le point de départ pour des excursions aux fouilles d'Herculanum et pour l'ascension du Vésuve en bus. La ville fabrique également des articles en cuir, des boutons, du verre et le vin connu sous le nom de Lacryma Christi (Larmes du Christ)
Sorrente est une ville surplombant la baie de Naples dans le sud de l'Italie. Une destination touristique populaire en raison de sa variété de petites antiquaires et de son emplacement sur la côte amalfitaine, elle est facilement accessible depuis Naples et Pompéi car elle se trouve à l'extrémité sud-est de la ligne de chemin de fer Circumvesuviana. La ville est surtout connue pour ses petits magasins vendant de la céramique, de la dentelle et de la marqueterie (boiseries). La péninsule de Sorrente offre une vue sur Naples, le Vésuve et l'île de Capri. Les falaises et les hôtels de luxe de Sorrente ont attiré des célébrités comme Enrico Caruso et Luciano Pavarotti. Le limoncello, un digestif à base de zestes de citron, d'alcool, d'eau et de sucre, est produit à Sorrente. Les autres productions agricoles comprennent les agrumes, le vin, les noix et les olives.
La côte de Sorrente est un promontoire dentelé qui étaye l'extrémité sud de la baie de Naples. Cette péninsule de terrain vallonné se termine brusquement par une falaise qui plonge à pic vers la mer Méditerranée. Tout le littoral autour de Sorrente était une colonie grecque à l'époque de Magna Grecia, le site légendaire des sirènes d'Homère, avant d'être conquise par les Romains qui appréciaient la région comme terrain de jeu d'été. We used Rome In Limo last year when our cruise stopped in Rome for the day and they were top notch - so this year when we came back to Italy for 10 days, we of course used them again for private rides and tours. We booked direct, and customized 2 full days which included Transfers and Tours. They are a pleasure to work with; all the drivers we have used have been super professional, on-time, nice vehicles, etc. Five star all the way!

We were very fortunate enough to have Maria as our driver from the port of Naples on a nice trip to Sorrento and Pompeii today! Maria was a terrific, safe driver!! We had a lot of fun with her stories and guidance on some of the sites along the way. She made our day trip much more fun, educational, and we really appreciated all of the energy that she put forth. We we’re expecting to get only a driver, however, actually was fortunate enough to have a terrific guide and knowledgeable person as well! If you are fortune enough to have Maria as your driver, count yourself, lucky and enjoy the day! Sorrento was absolutely gorgeous and Maria guided us to what areas and streets to focus our short time in on for the day. She also suggested a few places for a quick lunch if interested. On our drive to the Pompeii ruins, she gave us a little bit of background and preparation for our guided tour at that location.

A full day>> our driver, Peter, was just wonderful-so nice and accommodating and a fantastic driver! He called and booked us a great Pompeii guide who was an archeologist who works on the ongoing Pompeii discovery. He made sure we saw what we MUST see in Sorrento, even though we were getting a bit tired and wanted to pass, and we are so thankful he politely made sure we enjoyed the spectacular views of the area! A luxurious Mercedes van was just icing on this unforgettable birthday cake of a day!

Daniel Ronca our tour guide was fantastic! He was informative, funny and entertaining and very accomodating to suit the needs of our group. The tour was awesome and we had a lovely lunch at a restaurant recommended by Daniel. Beautiful views of Sorrento and even a bit of Amalfi coast. Rosemary who took us through Pompeii was fantastic too . Highly recommend Limo in Rome!

I highly recommend this trip and company. Our driver Piero was wonderful and took such great care of my daughter and I. We had an early pick up in Rome to begin our day trip to Pompeii and Sorrento. Piero helped arrange for a private tour of Pompeii and a wonderful lunch in Sorrento. We had a fabulous day!

Overall wonderful experience! Everything went smoothly exactly as scheduled. Our driver Nick showed up early for our pickup at the hotel. He was very friendly and accommodating. The Mercedes sprinter van was perfect size for our group of 8 people. It was clean and comfortable. Lucio, our guide at Pompeii was terrific. He was friendly and knew all of the interesting history. Having a knowledgeable expert guide at Pompeii brought the story to life! Don’t try to just walk through Pompeii on your own. You will see things but not understand the amazing stories that they tell. We then headed off to Sorrento where we had just enough time for lunch and shopping before heading back to Rome. I would definitely recommend this tour!

My husband and myself, along with our sons (ages 19, 15, and 10) visited Sorrento and Pompei in July. Fabio picked us up promptly at 7:30 and shared a wealth of information as we traveled to Sorrento. He pointed out particular places of interest as we drove and we enjoyed talking with him. Sorrento was beautiful! We spent the morning shopping, sightseeing, and eating, then it was back in the van for our afternoon in Pompei. There we met our guide Lucio, who took us through the ancient city while telling us its fascinating history. He was very knowledgeable and personable, and also found every shady spot in Pompei (!). Fabio took us back to our apartment in Rome after an exhausting day. We enjoyed our time with both Fabio and Lucio and would definitely use Rome in Limo again.

We were referred to Rome In Limo by a friend who had used them last year on the same cruising itinerary. She does not recommend companies lightly, so I thought they MUST be great for her to recommend them. I emailed Rome In Limo and immediately received a response from Francesco. What a lovely man - the patience of a saint because I had a thousand questions! I was also in contact with Jany. He also was wonderful and very patient. This was very important because I had never been to Italy before and wanted to get everything just right for me and my 8 other family members. We just got back from our trip and I can't say enough wonderful things about our 6 guides! We needed 2 luxury cars because we were so many people. Each driver and the Mercedes car/van they were driving was wonderful (they upgrade their fleet every 3 years so the vehicles are always immaculate and safe)! We had exact directions where to meet the drivers and they were always right there waiting for us with their nice signs. The drivers were informative, nice, professional, presentable and made us all feel very welcome. We even had a sing a long with our Naples driver. They set up any tour guides we needed and also helped us get our attraction tickets to the Vatican, etc. We highly recommend Rome In Limo! Don't hesitate to use them. They made everything so smooth and memorable!
