This is an experience we have been contemplating for quite a while and it truely lived up to expectations! On this brilliant sunny Melbourne April Autumn day we were guided very expertly and safely on our paddle along the Yarra by our fun, awesome and informative guides , Jamieson and Ethan, through Melbournes beautiful business district on our very new and stable sea kayaks. Experiencing the Melbourne cbd from a very different perspective on the water, it was a relaxing , scenic and informative time lead by our very competent guides Jamieson and Ethan. . We would definitely recommend as a must do for both Melbournians and tourists alike, we will likely book again for the Sunset dinner tour next time !!
The kayaking was great, and our guide was really nice. The kayaking time was too short though, given that it is advertised as 2 hours. We waited 35 minutes from the start time for some late arrivals, then in the middle of the paddle, we stopped and sat in our kayaks for 15 minutes so the guide could tell us about some uninteresting history about the waterfront. So we had maybe 1 hour of kayaking at best.
While leading this 2hour session, Adam provided all in the group with a wonderful overview of the history and environment of this stretch of the Yarra, from its significance to the local indigenous people through to the present day. He was careful in preparing all for this kayaking experience and supportive of those not as adept with their technique.
Get ready to paddle. A nice relaxing time on the river. Very easy but be ready to paddle. The guide was very friendly and knowledgable
The tour was extremely well organized. We went up river as a group in double kayaks under about five or six bridges. Along the way we had commentary about the city and historical sites. I left my iPhone in my PFE and the guys were fantastic at coordinating with me to enable me to pick it up. A first class act.
Well run activity, thanks to Gus our tour guide who was a great character who provided clear operating instructions and safety recommendations.
I had an amazing experience and met a really lovely people. I hadn’t kayak since I was 17 so this was a long long time ago and it was safe and fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely wonderful experience. There isn’t a better way to see the beauty of Melbourne than from a kayak. Strongly recommend this is an activity for couples, families are single travelers. A+.
