Description

Super amazing tour of Machu Picchu, Salkantay Trek, and Rainbow Mountain.

I did the All- Women Machu Picchu hike via Salkantay Trek with Rainbow Mountain add on. Crossover Peru and 57 Hours was my tour companies. They were amazing and super attentive to all of my needs. My guide LUZ MABEL provided daily briefings and explained the entire adventure before setting out. Luz is bilingual English speaking which made life easier for me. She is also a native and super knowledgeable about the Peruvian Mountains and lifestyle of its people. My chef PAULINO was very passionate about his cooking task. Very single one of my meals were prepared fresh daily. He is so good he could open his own Resturant. My horsemen WILBER was also very knowledge and helpful. PAUL was in charge of transportation and he an amazing job getting us to and from trailheads. Luz, Paulino, Wilber, and Paul are all top in their fields and I would recommend these four people to anyone wanting to hike in Peru. There is also one other person that needs to be mentioned for doing a great job and that is SOL. She does the behind the scene arrangements. What a joy to work with her. If you are thinking about hiking to Machu Picchu you must use Crossover Peru and 57 Hours and request the above mentioned team. All of your needs will be met and you will be pampered.

The perfect local guide to take you through time. Slow down, listen and reconnect.

Luz (Mabel) was the highlight of this trek. Her knowledge of the area is worth more than all the other elements combined. She is a gem. So kind and patient in teaching us about the flora and fauna or the area. When you dream about a trip to Peru, a trip of connection and grounding you hope for a guide like Luz. She teaches you the language, sharing both humor and her concerning love. Be prepared to laugh. She is prepared for all the elements and when she makes a gentle suggestion it is probably best to follow the advice. Take the longer trek so that you can spend additional time learning from her. Luz is also an amazing photographer. Be prepared to pose.
