Excursion dans le désert du Sahara marocain avec un local

It’s really difficult to know which of the MANY Moroccan travel guide companies will give you the best experience and exposure to the beauty and adventure that exists across this country. I’m confident Mustafa and Escorted Morocco Tours is the best choice you can make. 1. Comfort: From the bus to the kasbahs to the luxury eco friendly campsites, there wasn’t a moment where it felt like we were roughing it on a vanlife road trip. 2. Authenticity: Mustafa was really forthright about what experiences were more authentic and what were geared at tourists. He gave us info to make decisions about what we really wanted to see and what we might want to skip, and he was always able to draw on his vast network to hook us up with more specific requests (where can I buy authentic fossils? What stops have extra hustle vs quieter, non-vendor populated places?). 3. Flexibility: Mustafa allowed us to make adjustments to the itinerary as we went along, adding a couple excursions, removing a lunch stop in favor of another detour to a different village, etc. He was able to both lead the group and integrate himself into our experience in a way that felt comfortable and made it clear that he understood our vibe. 4. Experiences: I know so many people who’ve done the “ride a camel,” “ride an ATV,” “visit a Berber village” excursion—but when comparing notes it was abundantly clear that the places we went with Mustafa were a cut above. Everything felt a little EXTRA special and like we were exposed to a uniquely personal side of Morocco. Reflecting on our days with Mustafa, I’m amazed that it was only a three-night excursion. We did and saw so much, and ended feeling inspired and energized. If I were to do it again, I’d absolutely go for a longer tour and get even more of the Escorted Morocca Tours experience.

Excellent trip to Merzouga, Dades Gorge, Nkob, and other points with Moustapha. Well organized and full of adventure and humor with safety paramount, Moustapha was super in leading us group of 15 friends. Very highly recommended!

We travelled in November 2021 with Mustafa. He took care of everything and made the trip an incredible experience. I highly recommend him to everyone whether you want to do the same itinerary, personalize some parts of it or need help with planning your own version. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, fluent in 4 languages, loves people and what he does, incredibly accommodating and considerate, and a wonderful human being.

These few days traveling with Moustafa into the desert from Marrakech was out of this world. He prepared an adventure that was simply unforgettable. The whole travel experience from Marrakech was part of the excitement: he stopped at points of interest that were “off the beaten path”. We saw a salt mine, had tea with the Nomads, dined with the Berber family at their home, saw magnificent views of the mountains and valleys and rivers, we walked around abandoned Berber villages under the careful guide of moustafa , listened to an authentic Gnawa music performed by the local villagers, and were provided with a brief history of places we visited. He knew all the nooks of the entire trail leading to the desert which by the way was out of this world. The entire desert camping experience was unbelievable. We rode camels, had an awesome and festive night at the desert camp, had delicious dinner and gazed at the endless skies full of stars at night. Our accommodations were superior, very comfortable and unique! I can’t even describe how memorable this experience has been for my friends and I. I highly recommend Moustafa and his crew ! We loved it and will come back.

Mustapha is the hidden gem when it comes to booking the the Moroccan escapades. He was our tour guide/driver who put the entire customized trip together in Essaouira and Mirzouga. He was very courteous, punctual and professional. I am looking to come back in 2022 and book more trips with my new friend Mustapha.

Omg what an amazing trip this was. Beyond exceeded my expectations. Mustafa was so friendly and knowledgeable and really made our trip so enjoyable with his positive energy. He took us to places that were certainly off the beaten track and managed to show us so much of Morocco with a very limited amount of time. Very unforgettable experience!

I love every single moment of this trip. Of course the Sahara trek with the camels was amazing. Mustapha is very knowledgeable and professional guide. He was so kind with us and we had unforgettable experience. He made sure that we are comfortable during the trip and showed us the hospitality of Moroccan people and sights that we have never seen by ourselves. I highly recommend him.

Amazing tour that far exceeded my expectations. You see so many places and things, and have very cool local experiences (that might be difficult to get to or have on your own). Anouar went above and beyond as our guide, and lots of people got really close. You should definitely book this!
