Amazing experience! The tour consisted of 16 zip lines and a superman experience above the Cloud Forest Miguel, Eduardo, Enrique and the rest of the team contributed to make this experience even more enjoyable
We took the 1pm canopy tour on an overcast, cloudy day in early August of 2026. The check in process and getting equipment was quick and efficient. We then got in a van and traveled up the mountain to our starting point. We had to walk about a 1/4 mile up a steep hill to get to the area where they should you how to use the zip line. We then went off to the first zip line and once we started we kept right on going. We then took another 1/4 mile hike up a hill to the 5th line. We then had to wait 15 minutes as we discovered that the 5 guides that helped us on the first zip lines, had to go in front of us to the next 3 zip lines. Once we finished these, we than had another 1/4 mile hike up a hill to get the 8th zip line. Same process and had to wait another 15 minutes for the guides to go back in front. We then did 4 more lines, then the Tarzan swing and finished with the last line. The last line was over a 1/2 mile long was mostly through the clouds. Overall, the zip lines were very fun and the guides were great. The negatives was the extensive hiking (we did not know about this in advance) and the two times that we had to wait. I think if they had people at all the stations, we could do the course quicker and they can probably make a lot more money. The full tour took about 2 hours and 15 minutes for the 13 lines. We then did the 2-mile hanging bridges hike on our own and that took about an hour and a half. We did not see much in the way of wildlife since we did not have a guide, but was nice not to see another person the entire time since it was late in the day. The scenery was amazing and the tranquility even better. We would recommend the bridges and zip lining if you are in the area.
The price-quality ratio is very high. It is a price that is not at all affordable for local people or for a family with normal purchasing power. It borders on abusive. There were two of us, and what seems like a lack of hospitality between the client and in this case the activity provider, is that if you decide to pay in cash in dollars they say they cannot give you coins. And they round up the charge. The price for the activity for the two of us was 262.39 dollars; when paying in cash, he charges me 263 dollars. The salesclerk claims and justifies that they do not have coins and that is how they do it, they charge by rounding the amount up. It is an unfair and abusive practice! Because for 10 people who pay and get charged like that, it would be 6.10 dollars that they take for nothing and that they are stealing from the customer. And if they do not want to be paid in cash in dollars, they should set a rule that cash payments in dollars are not accepted, only by card. They charge enough for the activities, which are very expensive. One could file a complaint form, which I believe does not exist here. But it is a totally excessive and disproportionate practice.
My father, sister, and I visited Selvatura Adventure Park 16 years ago— and again on our trip to Monteverde last week. The zipline tour was a highlight both times. We appreciated the care and consideration given to us by our guides and the Selvatura staff. Our guides were friendly and engaging: very fun to chat with. Special shoutout to Kendall, William, Kiwi, and Jesus for making our time at Selvatura so special. Thank you!

We will gladly pass along your generous shoutout to Kendall, William, Kiwi, and Jesus. I had an amazing experience on the Canopy Tour at Selvatura in Monteverde! From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organized, and safety was clearly the top priority. The entire team was highly skilled, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the tour. A special thank you to our guide, Sebastián. He was exceptionally friendly, patient, and professional. He made sure I felt safe at every stage and was always there to help with a smile. His expertise and positive attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an exciting adventure with outstanding safety standards and an excellent team, I highly recommend the Selvatura Canopy Tour. It was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Costa Rica!

We were picked up ten minutes late as the first ones in the shuttle (so I can't be that he had to wait for other visitors) and the driver was slow and could not shift beyond second gear. When we arrived we had to wait in line for about half an hour (even though we had already booked and paid our tour) for a woman to then tell us to "go there". The guys giving us our equipment were then very efficient and experienced. After being brought to the instruction zipline we again had to wait, in the rain, to be given the safety briefing. We were given different gloves for each hand. The right one had a larger leather protected area and the left one, what a surprise, had only a small part. We were told to stabilise our flight and if requested also stop, with our dominant hand more or less loosely around the cable. After the first flight where I just slightly touched the cable with the part of my left glove which was not covered by the extra bit of leather as it was on the right glove, I decided it would be safer to use the right hand even though it is not my dominant one. Sometimes there was only one guide on one platform who was a bit stressed and overwhelmed by the number of people. He had to remove the gear from one person put it on another person and watch out for the next person and stop his flight so he would not hit the cushioned (it probably happens more often) pillar. Which happened to another person while I was on the same platform. Maybe I am just biased because I made another ziplining tour in Manuel Antonio where they had more guides per tourists and had better safety protocols. All in all I still very much enjoyed the experience but I think they could update their check-in and instruction processes and invest in a few guarded left hand gloves.
Insane experience; zipping over 12 ziplines above the treetops, everything well organized, triple checks and professionally supervised. The longest is no less than 10 km, and you can also do as a ‘superman’. This was a little too exciting for me. We had a great morning. After a break in the fine restaurant at entrance and exit we went for a walk for another hour and a half. Beautiful plants, unfortunately no animal seen but howler monkeys were spotted shortly before.
We had a great time with the family Canopy experience. 100% recommended
A great experience. We were in a group of 11 with 5 (including small) children. The guides took fantastic care of the little ones. Everything was very safe. We were able to enjoy it to the fullest. Thank you
