À 3883 mètres d'altitude, le Matterhorn Glacier Paradise offre une expérience sensorielle unique : des vues à couper le souffle, l'air pur des montagnes et les glaciers vous attendent. Empruntez le téléphérique le plus haut du monde pour accéder au Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, où vous attendent une plateforme d'observation spectaculaire, un Glacier Palace unique et une salle de cinéma. Le voyage commence dans le confort d'une télécabine 8 places du Matterhorn Express, traversant des paysages variés, des prairies verdoyantes aux impressionnantes moraines sculptées par les glaciers. Une fois au sommet, émerveillez-vous devant les vues panoramiques sur 38 majestueux sommets alpins des Alpes françaises, italiennes et suisses.
Explorez les rues étroites de Zermatt pendant votre temps libre et admirez les maisons traditionnelles construites avec beaucoup de bois et de pierre. La partie ancienne du village de Zermatt se trouve dans la Hinterdorfstrasse et constitue un véritable trésor de bâtiments historiques. Plus de 30 bâtiments présentent le style architectural classique des premiers colons Walser, notamment des granges et des greniers vieux de 500 ans. Ils représentent un morceau d’histoire et montrent comment vivaient les agriculteurs dans le passé.

Extremely disappointing experience. I have traveled to all five continents and taken over 461 different tours worldwide, and this was by far the least professional, least friendly, and least polite tour agency I have ever dealt with. I arrived at the meeting point at 7:14 and looked for the bus among many clearly marked tour buses. I asked other drivers for help, and one told me to ask at the company office across the street. The agency claims the bus left at 7:17, but I find it hard to believe they can be 100 percent sure there was not even a two minute difference between their time and the real time. That sounds ridiculous when a customer is right there trying to find the correct bus. I contacted chat support immediately, I have photos showing I was there looking for the bus, and I even offered to meet the group somewhere else. Instead of helping, the staff were rude, unreasonable, and completely unwilling to listen. Even worse, they demanded that I delete my photos or they would call the police. They simply told me to contact Viator and took no responsibility. I would not recommend this agency, not even if the tour were free.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We strongly disagree with this review, as it does not accurately reflect what happened. The tour departure was scheduled for 7:15 AM. Our guide waited at the meeting point and the bus left after 5 minutes just for you as you were the only one missing. As it's not a private tour, we have a schedule to follow, and as you know in Switzerland we are on time. You did not arrive on time. You arrived approximately 10 minutes after departure a the departure point, without calling or contacting us beforehand. By that point, the bus had already left and it was no longer possible to join the tour. Our team was present at the meeting point and followed the standard departure procedure. We cannot delay an entire tour for one late customer, out of fairness to all other guests who arrived on time. We understand missing a departure is frustrating, but responsibility in this case lies with arriving late, not with our staff or service.
I wanted to experience as much of Switzerland’s beauty as possible in our short, limited time in the area! That is what led us to book the tour for Zermatt and the Matterhorn from Geneva! The weather was questionable with clouds and a good chance of rain…but we wanted to give it a shot! We could not initially see the Matterhorn from Tasch or Zermatt, but we broke through the clouds when we reached the top of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and viewing platform! It was bitterly cold on top of the viewing platform… winds were cold and strong but was able to get fabulous pictures. Just clouds hiding the Matterhorn :(. Strongly recommend dressing warmly in layers, thick socks, a waterproof jacket and GLOVES! We were fortunate enough to catch a view of the Matterhorn from Zermatt minutes before boarding our transport van to return back to Geneva…and then disappeared into the clouds after that stunning view! :) The transport was efficient but 3.5 hours each way without a toilet stop did present issues for a number of guests. Otherwise was a great trip! Dress warmly even in summer. (Layers)

The tour guide Radger is very nice and willing to introduce the local culture. Athough the weather is cloudy and unable to see the peak of Matterhorn Mt. In geneal, it is still a relax and good travel experience.

Excellent experience via Swiss tours who we had used before. Picked up from hotel and guide was excellent very personable and knowledgeable. Friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Asked regularly if we were all ok on the drive there and was a genuinely lovely guy. Explained everything fully so we knew what to expect. Would highly recommend Swiss tours and this trip as it’s truly wonderful from start to finish. I think it’s good value and no stress at all and even though the weather wasn’t perfect for views we did get to see the Matterhorn from the viewing platform which fortunately reopened after we had looked around the glacier paradise. The glacier is amazing and I’m so glad we chose this trip.

Beware, this is a bait and switch. The itinerary statutes you get entrance to the glacier paradise but you don't. Viator reps were not helpful at all. The tour company charged us an additional $340 for the glacier paradise. Don't get this through Viator, go directly through a tour company and save yourself money and headache. Essentially it was a $440 bus ride. You can take the scenic train for less than that. We got no information on the bus ride either. We did absolutely love the village and the ride on the ski lift to Glacier paradise and the ice cave. I don't think it was worth $800. I chatted with the viator rep who said the glacier paradise was included, then it changed when I asked for a refund. She gave me an email address to send the receipts to but no one ever responded. I won't use Viator ever again. LESSON LEARNED!

We would like to clarify that the ticket you purchased for CHF 175 per person (CHF 350 total for two) covers transportation to Zermatt only, as clearly stated in the tour description and the option you chose. The cable car ride to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and other mountain activities are optional extras. For reference, a round-trip cable car ticket to Glacier Paradise during high season costs CHF 120 per adult. Switzerland is known for its high cost of mountain transport, and panoramic lifts like those in Zermatt are priced accordingly — this is why independent cable car tickets can be expensive even outside of a tour. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the village of Zermatt, the ski lift ride, and the Ice Cave — these are highlights of the region. We did the tour the last day of the year, our guide (roger) was amazing! Gave us a lot of interesting info and made sure we had the best day possible. The tour in itself is very good as you dont have to worry about anything except food. So we could just enjoy our day
