A wonderful day, from the spectacular White Cliffs of Dover to the lovely town of Canterbury. Our guide Sam made the trip lively and full with his many interesting details and stories about these places. The coach was very comfortable and I felt very safe with our driver Maria. I would recommend this tour to all my friends!
Incredible views, great coach service. Tour guide Sam was friendly and knowledgeable. Great sense of humor
Very nice activity with a local guide from the region! Full of anecdotes and history along the way, it was very interesting!
Well organized, knowledgeable friendly guide and amazing coach driver who got us out of a sticky traffic jam in Canterbury. This tour was very well done and thoroughly enjoyable.
A great day! Excellent bus driver, excellent guide. Our guide was from Canterbury so her recommendations felt very honest. We had a good amount of time at each stop, though it just made me want to go back!
Wear walking shoes and bring water. The cliffs are absolutely gorgeous!! It was clear Enough to see France off in the distance.
We loved our day trip with our guide Tiger and coach driver Dawn. The trip combines two amazing experiences. We spent two hours at the White Cliffs of Dover. What an incredible place! It would be easy to spend an entire day exploring all that the White Cliffs area has to offer including several tours that require more time than we had. Travelers of all levels of fitness and adventure will find the Cliffs an enjoyable experience. Tiger provided lots of great background information prior to our free time. Canterbury was equally as enchanting. There was plenty of time to explore the historic village, tour the cathedral, or enjoy lunch in a historic pub. We chose the Weavers House recommended by Tiger. It was a delightful restaurant along a small river with amazing food. We chose to stroll about the village visiting the shops and admiring the architecture- but there would have been plenty of time to tour Canterbury Cathedral instead. An easily walkable historic area with lots of choices for how to spend your time. The coach was comfortable and was a great way to escape London for a wonderful day out. Highly recommend Tiger as a guide and Dawn guided our coach easily in and out of tight spaces.
I am not sure what was the issue with the Navigator/Tour guide, however, the use of extreme criticism over the French people, Americans & really anyone outside his personal views left for a sincere uncomfortable feeling. In addition kept repeating "you will be left if you're not here at such time" - we are not children, we understood clearly at the 1st message. Lastly the bus was overwhelmingly huge for the small amount of people booked. The bus was hot and when asked to please up the a.c. was told the bus will eventually be cold as English Laws don't allow for buses to remain on. We knew this. A better answer would have been a follow up of the temperature and if resolution of the heat was obtained. The Cliffs of Dover left for an amazing experience, full of great pictures & amamzing views our family will forever cherish. I caution your tour guides, as they can make or break a consumer's experience in which we worked hard to obtain & expect a wonderful experience based on the fruits of our work & labor.
The trip was excellent- well organised, interesting and most enjoyable - can’t be faulted- a great day!! But when I left the bus, I had lost my wallet! It had been on my knee and I forgot!!! It had bank/credit cards, driving licence plus some £ and NZ $ in it. The office was excellent - sadly the depot couldn’t find it. (Thank god for cards in phone wallet .) Then, a week later I receive a txt - it had been found and the same person from Day Tours said she would send it to NZ. A week later, I have received it/ all intact!!! (Bank cards, naturally, have been cancelled.) Thankyou, Day Tours for service beyond expectations!!
Great tour, give lots of time to explore at both stops. Great commentary and clear instructions. Bus driver Great lady, safe driver
