We booked a private tour for just myself and my brother-in-law about a week in advance. Our tour guide, Snega, was very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. We saw everything we wanted to see and more.
Thank you, Amber, for your wonderful feedback! We’re so glad you and your brother-in-law enjoyed your private tour to Trakai and Kernavė. Snega will be very happy to hear your kind words — she truly loves sharing the history and stories of Lithuania. We hope to welcome you back again one day to explore even more hidden gems around Vilnius! 🌿
This day trip out of the city was fantastic! It was a wonderful way to see the historic capitals of Lithuania, including Trakai. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and conscientiously allocated extra time for additional activities including shopping at the Trakai market. Since we were on foot in the city, meeting us at our selected location was very helpful. We highly recommend this tour and the wonderful staff.
Dear Andrew_H, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the trip to Trakai and Kernavė. It’s great to know our guide’s flexibility and thoughtful planning made your experience even more special—from the extra time in the Trakai market to meeting you at a convenient location. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. We hope to see you again on another Lithuanian adventure! Best regards
Felt disappointed with Kernave - a UNESCO site, where NOT ONE ruins of the 1000 medieval forts on the hills are visible. Just the view of the green hills and river is nice. All the museums and castles are closed on MONDAYs. So, we could only see Trakai island castle from outside and took a boat ride in the lake around the castle. Trakai castle visit on other days would be nice, I guess. Locations are beautiful, but half day excursion felt like a waste of time for us. Driver cum guide was good.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about the tour. We’re sorry to hear that the experience felt underwhelming for you, especially due to the Monday closures. As noted in our tour description, many museums and historical sites in Lithuania, including Trakai Castle and Kernavė museums, are closed on Mondays – and we always aim to inform travelers in advance. It’s worth noting that Kernavė is a UNESCO World Heritage site primarily recognized for its archaeological landscape and ancient hill forts. While there are no visible ruins, the area is valued for its historical significance and panoramic views. To enrich the day, we also included an additional stop at the Hill of Angels and provided free time in Trakai, during which guests had the chance to enjoy a boat ride and try traditional Karaim food if they wished – all without altering the tour price. We’re glad you appreciated the beautiful locations and the efforts of your driver-guide. We’d be happy to welcome you again in the future – ideally on a day when all sites are open – for a fuller experience.
This is a very interesting trip, first going to the medieval site of Kernave, which has remnants of hill forts , and then on to Trakai. The castle there sits on an island and it is a very scenic location. The castle itself is a medieval one in a restored state.
Dear Eliot, Thank you for your review! We're glad you found the trip to Kernave and Trakai so interesting. The medieval sites and the scenic beauty of Trakai Castle truly offer a unique experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you on another adventure soon! Best regards, Baltia tour team
A great trip with a great guide! Very accommodating to my needs. Friendly and interesting. I will definitely use them again!
We had a wonderful experience brilliant time I would recommend it to anyone booking a trip to Vilnius. The weather was brilliant we had a great time Eric and annmarie
The two sites we visited were very different but equally unique. Our guide went through both sites with us and gave us an informed guided tour. The only reason I did not give him 5stars was that his car could have been cleaner
