Visitez le célèbre Zaanse Schans, avec ses moulins à vent hollandais, son sabotier et sa ferme fromagère. Il s'agit d'une visite en vélo électrique agréable et magnifique. Passez devant le moulin à craie unique du nord d'Amsterdam, via la pittoresque réserve naturelle 't Twiske jusqu'au plus beau village résidentiel et ouvrier des Pays-Bas. Au Zaanse Schans, nous nous arrêtons pendant une heure à une heure et demie pour visiter les moulins à vent, manger et boire quelque chose et visiter le sabotier et la ferme fromagère ! Le retour se fait par un itinéraire plus court et la statue du Couple qui s'embrasse. Préparez-vous pour une belle demi-journée !

Point de départ de la visite dans la partie la plus ancienne de la ville d'Amsterdam
Gare centrale, construite de 1881 à 1889 par P.J.H.Cuypers dans un style néo-gothique-Renaissance, avec de nombreuses sculptures décoratives.
Avec le ferry Buiksoterweg, traversée de la rivière IJ vers la partie nord d'Amsterdam
Route le long du Noord-Hollandskanaal
Marais asséchés. De nombreux lacs de la région de Waterland ont été asséchés par pompage. Une telle zone assainie est appelée polder.
Souvent, le meunier est présent sur place et nous montrera le moulin et nous expliquera son fonctionnement.

We had a lovely country tour with Jan. He was a wonderful guide and very personal. The Yellow Bikes were is very good shape and made this ride very easy. Riding through the suburbs, ecological park and seeing how the windmills work was very educational. We visited Zaanse Schans, which was very busy. Jan was super accommodating and showed us where we could have a picnic seeing we had packed a lunch. We highly recommend this company!

We went on the e-bike tour to Zaanse Schans. Despite it being a windy and rainy day, it was still a great experience. Our guide, David, did an amazing job and taught a lot about his homeland. Our tour guides name was Jong. In between, we learned a bit about Amsterdam history, saw a windmill up close and was given insight in the daily life of the miller, and even made a stop in Zandam for some local chocolate. Zaanse Schans itself was okay. But we were given free reign there for an hour so we could decide how to make the most of it. If you could take one day trip out when visiting Amsterdam and yoour priorities is a good workout, nature, and some architectural history (and if you're physically up for it), this is the ideal pick!

It was a great tour with our guide Jan! We saw a lot of the countryside, the dams, windmills, nature and some architecture as well. Jan was a great guide and he was very flexible regarding the route and the things we wanted to see. We were a very small group, which was great so we could see a lot of the area around Amsterdam and Jan gave us a lot of insights in the life here around Amsterdam now and in the past. The bike tour was very accessible and easy to manage but also had a lot of great views on nature and the city itself. The Bikes were very good and everything worked perfectly. I would do another tour tomorrow, but I unfortunately I have to travel back home. Great tour!

Our tour guide Sid was fantastic. He was extremely personable and very knowledgeable about Amsterdam the surrounding countryside and The Netherlands in general. The e-bikes are great. If you are used to a regular bike it takes some getting used to due to weight. The experience is great.

My son and I took this day trip ride out of Amsterdam and had a great day. The e bikes provided were excellent and made the ride very very easy. Jan, our guide, was very knowledgeable and gave great incite into, not only the local places but the local lives of people. We were introduced to people along the way (a million keeper and local choclatier) and heard about their businesses and way of life. This and the beautiful scenery of the countryside were the highlights. Many thanks to yellow bikes and Jan for a memorable trip. Highly recommended!
