Excursion d'une journée tout compris sur l'île de Mahmya Hurghada

What a scam. A storm rolled in with 30 mph winds - and they kept all of us on the dock for over an hour, told us it was dangerous to be on a boat in these conditions - but that “we could still go if we wanted to” ummm no thank you. We asked for a refund - I had paid $500 for the tour for our family of 4- and they refunded us $74.

Pick-up at 8am from the hotel, head to the marina. Presentation of the guide of the day (Mahmoud from Egypt For U) which is just super nice. Crossing about 40 min to get to paradise! 1 hour bathing in translucent water Then head to the boat for some snorkling.. Everything is organized, even for beginners Then back to the island to have lunch and spend another 2 hours in the water or sunbathe, take pictures Departure from Mahmya Island around 3:30 pm. The fins, mask and snorkel are provided free of charge. A big THANK YOU for the discovery and a thank you to Mahmoud for his sympathy!

The island is beautiful, the beach is great, the meal was good. The guide spoke good French, a little pressing perfect in the travels but he did his job. Only flat the snorkeling only once and not 2 out as indicated. And the only way out was really chaotic between those who think they're pro swimmers and the little ones who even with a lifejacket are struggling (and seeing the waves that's normal). In short after the price is necessarily excessive for one outing....

Very nice place...the beach was wonderful beautiful sun...a little cold sea but giant aquarium...the pleasure was there

Unfortunately, the excursion did not take place, because we were to pay the taxi driver 130 euros in the hollow taxi.After a phone call from the taxi driver to an Egyptian who could not speak English or German to the taxi driver without receipt or other proof of a payment to afford we had to leave the taxi after instruction.We are used to erect the entrance fee of the island with a responsible guide.

My partner and I had the most unforgettable day during our trip to Mahmya Island in Hurghada! From start to finish, it was an experience we’ll cherish forever. The Island: Mahmya Island is truly paradise on earth! The crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine white sandy beaches, and vibrant coral reefs made it feel like we were on our own private island. We spent hours swimming, snorkeling, and simply lounging on the beach. The coral reefs are just a short swim from the shore, and the underwater world was absolutely mesmerizing. The Atmosphere: The island has a laid-back, peaceful vibe that’s perfect for couples. It wasn’t overcrowded, so we felt like we had enough space to relax and enjoy each other’s company in peace. The gentle sound of the waves, along with the beautiful views, created a truly romantic atmosphere. The Activities: We booked a snorkeling trip, and it was absolutely worth it. The guide was knowledgeable and took us to some of the best spots around the island. The underwater life was incredible — we saw colorful fish, sea turtles, and even a small ray! For those looking for something less active, there are plenty of sunbeds to relax on, and the beach bar serves delicious drinks and snacks. The Service: The staff on Mahmya Island were fantastic! From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, friendly, and eager to make our day special. We felt well taken care of, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Food and Drinks: The buffet lunch offered a great selection of fresh seafood, grilled meats, and vegetarian options. The food was delicious, and the beachside setting made it even more enjoyable.

We booked the mahmya island cruise through our Hurghada ToGo rep. I must say it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The boats was separated into languages so English together, polish together, french together etc. We had an English tour guide Mina William who was so lovely and friendly. He explained the itinerary and what was going to happen through out the day. We got to see some dolphins which was just amazing, once on the island we went snorkelling (hire the equipment for free) and it was fantastic. There was an option to go back onto the boat and do some deep sea snorkelling but we didn’t fancy that. Buffet dinner was served on the island and it was lovely all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Young children was on board and joined in so when we come back with the kids we will definitely be doing this again.

Never again! Please don't book this under any circumstances! Sheer rip-off. I had to pay another 75 euros in the end. These are nothing but cheaters!!!!!!! Book through the hotel or Mamyha directly. The island itself is of course a great excursion destination. But I would never book it here again.

To be honest! We had a really nice day with lots of great impressions. 3 spots, two for snorkeling and the third for Mahmya island with its mega beach. However, quite a crowd of tourists. But thanks to the unusual location and the photo points, you can easily survive that. This was our first snorkeling trip to Egypt and we stayed at the Grand Makadi. The booking went great, the communication was good, the necessary information came in good time.Thanks to Mina William everything as described in the offer. Punctual pickup in front of the hotel resort, then about 35 minutes drive to Hurghada to the port. There on the ship with a bombastic nice crew who did everything for you. From initial explanations to great atmosphere and supervised snorkeling. In between, a great meal was conjured up and everything was recorded on photo and video. In the end you could buy everything (photos on the boat, posing photos on the island, videos of snorkeling) for €60. Was OK!
