Lors de cette visite d'une journée, vous explorerez deux attractions phares de Pékin : la Grande Muraille de Chine, l'une des sept merveilles du monde, et le Palais d'été, la retraite d'été impériale pour les anciens empereurs. Au sommet de la Grande Muraille, vous serez émerveillé par ses magnifiques vues panoramiques. Pendant ce temps, le palais d'été offre une expérience complètement distincte avec ses paysages classiques exquis. Le forfait couvre tous les billets d'entrée, les frais de télésiège, le déjeuner, le service de Guide professionnel et les transferts aller-retour en véhicule. Tout est entièrement inclusif.

Itinéraire
Le matin, votre Guide touristique et chauffeur professionnellement Anglais avec un véhicule climatisé viendra vous chercher. Vous pouvez choisir un service de ramassage dans le hall de votre hôtel ou choisir de nous rejoindre à notre point de rendez-vous désigné. Nous nous dirigerons d'abord vers la Grande Muraille de Mutianyu, à 1,5 heure de route. Mutianyu est une section plus calme et plus reculée de la Grande Muraille autour de Pékin avec beaucoup moins de foule. Ce segment est célèbre pour ses paysages naturels époustouflants : forêts luxuriantes et prairies verdoyantes qui changent de couleur à chaque saison. Le mur serpente sur plus de 1 000 mètres le long des crêtes montagneuses, avant d'effectuer un virage serré et de descendre abruptement à flanc de colline. Vous aurez environ deux heures de temps libre pour explorer la Grande Muraille. La randonnée en montée dure environ 30 minutes à pied. Sinon, vous pouvez prendre le télésiège pour monter; un toboggan palpitant en bas de la montagne est également disponible au retour.
Après un délicieux déjeuner dans un restaurant local, nous nous rendrons au Palais d'été, qui se trouve à un peu plus d'une heure de route de la Grande Muraille de Mutianyu. Le palais d'été servait de jardin royal impérial dans l'Antiquité. Il dispose d'innombrables pavillons élégants, de grandes demeures, de temples sacrés, de ponts délicats, de vastes lacs et de couloirs couverts sinueux. L'emblématique Long Corridor, qui s'étend le long de l'eau, détient le record du monde Guinness en tant que couloir peint le plus long du monde. Vous visiterez également des sites célèbres tels que le pont Seventeen-Arch, le bateau de marbre, le lac Kunming et Longevity Hill. Une fois la visite terminée, notre chauffeur vous ramènera à votre hôtel.

Pick-up was timely and with a comfortable car. 1,5-2hrs travel by from Beijing. The temperature and the crowd in an August visit makes the walking tour (expect some steep ascending sections of the walk) a little bit more of a challenge. But unforgettable scenery worth the effort - and feeds a sense of direct contact with a pluri-millennial culture. Our guide - Bruce - was excellent. Very knowledgeable on the history of China and of the Great Wall, and effective in his explanations. We greatly appreciated his dedication and professionalism. The “Jade Factory visit” revealed to be more a jewelry shopping experience. Fine but extremely expensive products. Buffet lunch at the “factory” just Ok.

We had a fabulous day with Wendy. We first went to the Great Wall of China where Wendy gave a great overview of the history. We took the chairlift up and explored the wall. Once we were down we had a lovely tea ceremony. After Wendy took us to Summer Palace which was beautiful and peaceful especially on the boat. Overall we had an amazing day with Wendy.

Wendy was a great tour guide. Went to both Great Wall and summer palace definitely worth doing both. Was basically a private tour when we went to the summer palace since majority of people just did Great Wall, meaning we could go at our own pace and she could show us great spots personalised for us.

It was an amazing experience visiting the Great Wall, especially riding the chairlift up and coming down on the toboggan it was definitely the highlight of the trip.
