Description

My partner and I travel to Barcelona on Tuesday, June 23 our first time very excited for this trip particularly this tour to Costa bravo and had booked a tour for 8:30 AM on June 24 we were promptly up at 6 AM taxi to a bus station, which was somewhat of a surprise as we were expecting a Marina and doubt it if we were in the correct location I called the tour operator at 8 AM as departure was at 8:30 AM and we were to be at the meeting place at 8:15 AM. They confirmed we were in the right location and to meet at platform 23. We waited until 8:40 AM and tried calling the tour operator back only to learn they had left without us. I attempted to have the tour refunded, but was told that given they had provided details in the app of the meeting place a refund would not be possible despite explaining that we did not see the details and that is why we had called the tour guide knew we were there and failed to make a courtesy call to ensure we boarded the bus. Needless to say this was extremely upsetting and disappointing. we found ourselves in Barcelona on a holiday with nothing opened and no Plant tour fortunately, we were able to find an alternate tour departing in 11 AM. This operator is not interested in the experience of their customers. I got the impression they are in it for money only and have no empathy or regard for tourist visiting Barcelona. I would like to say to book through a different tour operator however this is the only tour that goes to Costa bravo, needless to say we will not be rebooking or would not recommend this tour to anyone.
Dear Corinne, First of all, we are very sorry that you were unable to join our Costa Brava tour. After reading your review, we would like to clarify a few points. First, at no point were you instructed to go to platform 23. This year, the bus station assigned us platform 26, and that is where our tour departs every day. This information is clearly provided in several places: * The product description on the Viator website, which is accessible to all customers, clearly states that the departure is from **platform 26**. * The personal voucher sent by Viator after your booking, which must be presented at check-in, clearly instructs you to go to **platform 26**. * The day before the tour, you received a reminder message indicating that you should go to **platform 26**. * Upon arrival at the bus station, all the station's information screens showed that our tour was departing from **platform 26**. * When you called us, you were also informed that you needed to go to **platform 26**. In all of these places, it is also clearly stated that the departure is from a **bus station**, not a Marina. We therefore do not understand why you were expecting to find a Marina. If, as you mention in your review, you were waiting at platform 23, it is worth noting that on that day there were no buses parked at platforms 23, 24, or 25. The only bus in that section of the station was ours, located at platform 26. Our bus was only a few metres away and was the only one there, with several guides, a queue of guests checking in, and multiple Costa Brava signs clearly displayed. It is therefore evident that you were never there and unfortunately arrived too late for the excursion. We find it very disappointing that you chose to make such serious accusations against our company when, in fact, you did not review the information provided for the tour at any stage. We hope that, despite this unfortunate situation, you were able to enjoy the rest of your day.
My college-aged daughter and I were glad we booked this during our time in Barcelona. Fun to get outside of the city, rub elbows with people from around the world, and enjoy some luxurious scenery. The boat ride between towns was a highlight of the day. Guides were attentive and made everything super easy. Only regret was not coming equipped to swim in the warm waters of Tossa Del Mar! Not sure what we were thinking!
Great family experience. The tour is a fantastic way to see some beautiful coastal towns and enjoy some very clean and crystal clear beaches. The tour was awesome, great transportation from meeting point to initial beach, initial beach to second coastal town via a boat (large boat), and back to our initial meeting point. I tend to believe the first beach was more enjoyable but the second beach had more options for food and shopping. My only semi-negative comment, by the time you get to the second beach, it is full and there aren't any chairs or umbrellas for rent. So be prepared.
I had a fantastic experience on the Costa Brava. Everything was well planned from start to finish, making the day relaxing and enjoyable. The transportation was comfortable and punctual, and the guide was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the region. The boat ride was definitely a highlight of the trip, offering spectacular views of the coast that you simply cannot appreciate from land. It was the perfect way to experience the natural beauty of the area. I also appreciated the free time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the local atmosphere. The balance between guided activities and personal time was excellent. Overall, this tour exceeded my expectations and provided great value for money. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona who wants to discover the beauty of Costa Brava in a comfortable and memorable way. A truly unforgettable day!
Be sure to be on time exactly the time they give you to meet up after each free time as the time for meet up is the time they head out to either the boat or back to the bus no room for being just a minute or two late, Very friendly knowledgeable folks. And very helpful as well. I only mention the above because most tour groups when they say meet back at a certain time ,you still hang around for a little while while the group gets organized, however this group the meeting time they give you means the time they are taking off and if you’re not there, you will be left behind. As they have a very tight schedule for boat and bus time with all the other tour groups being in line waiting their turn.
It was a good tour. The guides were great. There was plenty of time to explore. The ride on the boat was nice as well.
Great experience. The guides were wonderful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and tour.
This tour is a really great way to explore the costal region of Catalonia. You have a lot of time to explore the two nice towns by yourself.
For the money I padu it was ok. The Guides were great
Great day in the Coasta Brava. We had a perfect amount of time with guide (bus, boat, walking tour) and free time to explore on our own. Mimi was our guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable - proudly sharing the history of Catalonia! I recommend this tour!
