Siggi was the best tour guide ever! he was so funny and always shared information so well. Best tour guide we have ever had! Highly recommend him to everyone. I was so sad when the tour ended, and would gladly do it again if he was the guide. best tour we took in Iceland and it’s the one I think is unmissable. We thought about renting a car but I think it’s much better to do it the way as we learned so much about Iceland and had a much more fun experience.
The tour itself was OK. The guide was doing a good job even sharing his own personal hotspot on board the bus so that my wife and I can access the internet. The part that I dislike most was the pick up process. We were pick up by a smaller bus from a hotel and transferred to the actual big bus for the tour. It had two drawbacks 1) longer waiting time, and 2) when we board the big bus, my wife and I had to sit separately. I could have booked a small group tour instead of the regular tour. Ot was just too crowded for me.
Great tour! Highly recommend if you want to see a bit of what Iceland has to offer.
I had a great experience on this tour. I do wish we had more time at the glacier. I was able to touch it but had to turn around and run back because we did not have enough time. That being said, everything else was great.
"Southcoast Wonders" was the second of two bus tours my friend Yvonne signed us up for on our visit to Iceland last April. The scenery was wonderful, the weather was lovely (!!!) and, most outstanding, our guide Lasma. She was funny and informative and helpful in every respect, and gave us lots of time to walk and enjoy the highlights of southern Iceland: the (sadly shrinking) glacier, the black sand beach and caves, and waterfalls. Two days earlier we had gone on the "Golden Circle and Greenhouse" tour with Benedikt as our guide and driver. That day we marvelled at the geothermal vents, the massive greenhouse and the geysers. Special thrill to stand in a gorge that stands over the continental divide between Europe and North America. Spectacular waterfalls everywhere. Benedikt was also a wonderful guide to this strange and beautiful country. Reykjavik Tours picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at the end of the two wonderful days.
An excellent trip with the extremely knowledgeable HBO. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
This tour was an excellent way to experience some of Iceland’s most iconic attractions while enjoying a breathtaking scenic drive. None of the stops felt boring or like a waste of time—each one was unique and worth visiting. Our guide, Darren, was incredibly knowledgeable about Iceland and every location we visited. He shared fascinating facts throughout the day and even told a beautifully narrated story that made the experience even more memorable. His calm, relaxing voice was an added bonus. Darren combined detailed information with humor, making the tour both educational and entertaining. A special mention to our driver, Palli, who provided a smooth, safe, and comfortable ride throughout the journey. The tour lasted approximately 10 hours, and every minute was well spent. We left with unforgettable memories and a much deeper appreciation for the beauty and history of Iceland. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting for the first time. It is worth the experience to get to know the locations, but the journey is long to get to the visited points. I recommend doing it after doing the Golden Circle.
Terrific tour organized and executed by Darren and palli. Very personable and informative. Highly recommend doing a tour with them!:)
Absolutely amazing experience! Darren and Palli were wonderful guides. They provided great suggestions for making the most of each stop & saved me with a spare phone charger when I forgot mine. I would recommend to any visitor!
