A pleasant visit to the city Santo Domingo and its beautiful parts how the colonial area Really very Nice there will definitely be another Occasion to repeat it!

I'm not a huge fan of santo domingo I mean the city in general but this excursion was great i'm hoping again my next trip really thankful
We were told the night before to be ready by 7 AM, which we were, even skipping our sit down breakfast but grabbing pastries for the road. The shuttle couldn't get into our resort so we didn't leave until after 8 AM. We were shuttled to one area, then shuttled to a gas station nearby, where it was VERY chaotic, but after a lot of questions and reconfirming and more questions, we were finally on our way to the sites, about a 2.5 hour drive away. Miguel was an awesome tour guide, he translated for me in English and for another family in French, and of course Spanish. We spent ample time at each location, wasn't a big fan of the push to shop at certain shopping vendors but that's part of the tour. Buffet lunch was fantastic! No problems on the way back except stopping to change buses again for drop off. Total tour time 12.5 hours so expect an all day excursion.
The tour itself was good and I enjoyed it. The places we visited were excellent and the guide was good. However, the ad is a bit misleading. I flew in to Santo Domingo and my hostel for the night was also in Santo Domingo. The rest of the tour group came in from Punta Cana. Contrary to what the title of the tour says, pickup from the airport is NOT included. I spent a very stressful hour and a half from 7 - 8:30 am, sitting in the airport, thinking that I was missing my tour. The Expedia phone number was down and finally I managed to find the local number for the tour operator and called them on WhatsApp. The man I spoke to told me that he did have a reservation for me, but that they don't offer pickup from the airport and I would need to take a taxi from the airport to my hostel. The 7 am pick up time listed here is for the folks coming from Punta Cana. The tour operator told me that he would pick me up at 9:30 from my hostel. They didn't actually pick me up until around 10:45, but I was still the first one from my group to arrive, as the van from Punta Cana didn't arrive until 11:30. The sights we saw in Santo Domingo were excellent and lived up to all my expectations, but the tour ended for me at around 3:30 and the rest of the group continued back to Punta Cana, so it's really only a half day tour. Would have given five stars for the just the tour itself, but the mix up at the airport caused me to knock a star off.
