This was an excellent day trip and exactly what I was looking for. Yes, it’s a long day, but I knew that going in, and it was well worth it. We happened to visit during an extremely hot day in Spain (around 104°F/40°C), and the air conditioning on the bus worked perfectly. I had read some reviews complaining about the AC, but that was definitely not our experience. Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. They shared interesting history and local insights throughout the day, which made the long drive enjoyable. If you have extra time, spending a full day in each city would be ideal. However, if you’re short on time, this tour gives you plenty of time to see the main attractions in both cities and get a great feel for each destination. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience both cities in a single day.
What a rushed day! Took the 8:30am tour and received a message the day before that it’ll start at 7:30am instead. Meeting point was a HUGE park with no specific point. Guide was extremely strict; once we arrived at Segovia, he offered a 15 min “break” to use a restroom at a place where every shop was closed but one. I had been in Segovia and Toledo many years ago and wanted to take my daughter for her first time. Couldn’t enjoy it at all because the whole day was a rush. 30 min break for lunchtime so no chance to eat at a proper restaurant but a fast food place.
It's better to do it separately. One day Segovia, and another day Toledo. a lot of places to visit .
I was lead to believe the tour would have no more than 30 people and it was English. It was over 45 and mixed with Spanish speakers so the guide had to repeat everything in 2 languages. I find this disappointing because sometimes it causes you to miss seeing what the guide is describing. Also there was no guide for the Alcazar. I never would have chose this tour if I was aware of these things so it was very misleading. The tour guide Lydia was ok and I do not blame her for my disappointment.
The two guides very burnt, worth paying the cathedral tour although I missed the tour or see the palace opposite Santiaho
Rough beginning to an average tour. Initial meeting time was apparently changed via an email we never received. So instead of a 7:30 am start, we had an 8:30 am start(actually later than that bc our guide was running late). Our guide, Amanda, was lovely but did not make any allowances for bathroom breaks. After having lunch, we boarded the bus in Segovia for the two hour ride to Toledo. Upon arrival in Toledo we were told there wouldn’t be a time for a bathroom break until after our city walking tour AND the Cathedral tour. You really need to build bathroom stops into the schedule, especially considering the age range of the tour participants. Overall, I would say it’s an average tour at best.
A long but ultimately rewarding day out,,, visiting 2 separate places enables you to cram a lot into 1 day , with much to see & do
This is a great way to see Segovia and Toledo in one day! Our driver, Valentin, was very skilled in driving the large coach on the winding roads. Our tour guide, Lydia, was very knowledgeable, and was excellent at explaining the sights. On the walking tours, she kindly waited for the slower walkers before beginning her talks. On the walking tours, the Spanish speaking participants went with a different guide. I'd recommend the additional tour of the cathedral in Toledo...it was well worth the extra cost. I'm giving the tour a 5-star rating because Lydia was so good. However, there were some issues. This tour is advertised as having a maximum of 25 travellers, but I counted at least 40 people on the bus. The walking tours were smaller, and divided into English soeakers and Spanish speakers. There was also lots of confusion about where we were to meet the bus early in the morning. If the information you have on your ticket says that the pickup will be at Calle de Julio Camba #13, be sure to wait there, even if it looks like a residence and not a business. The bus will show up across the street. There were at least 8 of us trying to figure out where the bus would be, as there was no one at C. de Julio Camba #13 at 7:15 AM to explain.
Amanda was a great guide. I loved that she did much of the explanation while we were driving so we were not standing for long periods listening. The free time was perfect. Great tour!
Our tour Amanda was charming and very knowledgeable. There was an excellent mix of travel, walking history and free time. Definitely recommend!
