Excursion d'une journée privée à essaouira au départ de Marrakech

Youssef is very nice guy and bonus is he speaks English quite good. He is our driver to Essaouira and he made sure we will see all the nice tourists spots on the way. From the goats on Argan trees, the Argan cooperative, and the amazing medina of Mogador. The van is very clean and spacious for our family with 2 little twin girls. Overall we had an amazing day and a memorable trip.

This review is for June 2023. Visited Marrakech and had alternate plans to go on another well known day trip but after chatting with locals it was suggested that a visit to Essaouira would be better for what we wanted to experience (and they were right!). We didn’t book in advance however the concierge at our Riad (Riad Antara) was able to schedule and arrange the day trip for the next day. It was a seamless transaction in which we paid cash for the day. Sayeed our driver and guide met us near our riad and we set off to Essaouira a near two hour drive away from Marrakech. We stopped at an argan cooperative on the way and Sayeed was very knowledgeable about the areas as we traveled through. Once we arrived in Essaouira Sayeed provided us instructions for pick up as well as his information if we wanted to leave earlier or later than our set time. We were able to experience the beach, restaurants, and market and Sayeed picked us up promptly on time. He was very conversational and we enjoyed talking to him during the drive. We felt safe with the driving the entire experience and were even able to stop in a small town of Tafetachte on the return to see an annual festival that was happening around the time of our visit to the country. Truly a site to see and we were grateful to Sayeed for taking the time to stop and explain things to us. Definitely a highlight of the day trip. We were returned safely to our drop off point. Highly recommend if you prefer a more private day trip experience that is not as rushed as far as schedule.

We had great day out with Said. Have been Marrakech many times and Said has been the best for trips. Very punctual speaks great English and has great knowledge telling u about his beautiful countryside and great advice where to go and places to eat. Would recommend. Feel very safe confident driver and as Irish would say great craic too. Thanku Said for r transfers and trips hope cu on r next trip.

We went to Essaouira with Said today and it was fantastic! He was fun and funny and never pushed us to do anything. I feel we learned so much from each other. The town was such a lovely respite from Marakkech. We laughed so much together and I would highly recommend Said and his company to everyone!!

The seaside town was nice to visit, you have to try the fish markets!! A great day trip with Omar, couldn’t have asked for a better day. Comfy bus ride with music and even let us put our own on!! Thanks for a great day Omar!
