Itinéraire
• Votre guide viendra vous chercher à 7 heures du matin à votre hôtel au Caire pour commencer votre excursion d'une journée à Alexandrie, la deuxième plus grande ville d'Égypte. Sur le chemin de la route, vous saurez sur Alexandrie et pourquoi elle porte le nom d'Alexandre le Grand, comment elle a été submergée sous l'eau de la Méditerranée par le temps et comment ses artefacts ont été sauvés. • Une fois arrivé à Alexandrie, vous visiterez les catacombes de Kom el Shoqafa qui est le plus grand cimetière romain d'Égypte.
Rendez-vous au pilier de Pompy qui a été construit en l'honneur de l'empereur Dioclétien à la fin du IVe siècle. Originaire du temple des Serapis et la dernière chose y reste de ce temple.
Regardez la citadelle de Qaitbay (de l'extérieur) qui a été construite sur le site de l'ancien phare d'Alexandrie et profitez de la vue magnifique sur la Méditerranée, puis rendez-vous pour déjeuner dans un restaurant avec vue sur la mer.
Promenez-vous le long de la Méditerranée puis dirigez-vous vers la Bibliotheca Alexandrina, visitez-la pour connaître l’histoire et l’histoire d’Alexandrie. Puis retour d'Alexandrie à votre hôtel au Caire

Our tour to Alexandria was on the last day of our Egypt trip, and it was amazing! We loved seeing the catacombs and the lunch was delicious with a great view (fish since we were on the Mediterranean). We loved loved loved the library of Alexandria! It was so cool to see and I really enjoyed hearing about how it was designed to be open yet still muffled and not loud. The museums in the library were interesting as well. It was a great experience! Our guide, Francis, was very knowledgable and we had a fun time with him on our tours.
Go Luxor Tours review - Alexandria: I did the day trip to Alexandria, booked it through Viator. And I was so grateful it was this company: Go Luxor Tours!! It was the best experience hands down! Compared with 3 others companies I used. Had I known how amazing this Go Luxor Tours was, I would have used them for all of my tours. In fact I cancelled one tour to request this tour company and guide. My initial contact was with Michael Samir, and he is so organized and communicated very well. Another tour company contacted me to move another booked excursion which affected my booked Alexandria trip. I contacted Michael at Go Luxor Tours and he was able to assist me to move this Alexandria tour to another date. Excellent customer service and very personable! Also, Michael emailed me to confirm and notify me the name of my tour guide: Francis. This is very helpful and just nice knowing the details. Haha, in fact he even double confirmed the tour! Super organized, and you can truly ask him anything! My Alexandria tour guide was Francis! And words can’t begin to express how knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming he is! I felt right at home on a tour away from home. He explained everything and answered all my questions. Francis is so passionate about Egyptian history! (For those that need WiFi... it was available on the excursion). He even shared his coffee and bread with me. Even when we were walking in uneven places he watched to make sure I was ok, and wouldn’t fall. Oh my goodness, and pictures... lol Francis has so many great ideas of taking pictures and took so many of me too! I’m definitely coming back to Egypt... and I will only be using Go Luxor Tours! And if possible... I want to be connected to Francis... for all my tours!! :)
