Adolfo and Carlos took great care of us.
Stunning scenery in Bürguenstock, must go up in the funicular, take the boat from lucerne to Bürguenstock and see the churches and bridge of lucerne. The guide was Angela very friendly and always attentive and guiding us, explaining the concerns of zurich.
The trip gathered people for Lucerne with different destinations. It started on time, a merit of Swiss, and the double deck coach had comfortable seats. Thanks to the guides and papers, we followed our itinerary well. The highlight was the ferry ride with a picturous scene and the breathtaking view at the Burgenstock resort after the funicular ride. Recommended....
I would not recommend this tour. Take the train into Lucerne. All they do is drop you off and your on your own.
Dear Snhanson, Thank you very much for joining our partially guided tour to Bürgenstock and for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very sorry to read that the logistics of our tour have not met your expectations. As outlined in the Viator description, this is a partially guided tour, which means that our professional tour guide accompanies you from Zurich to Lucerne and back. Upon arrival in Lucerne, guests are given clear instructions, including a detailed leaflet with all the necessary information and boat tickets for the journey to Bürgenstock, which can be explored independently. We would like to clarify that Bürgenstock is accessible by public transport, and the price of our tour, which is CHF 116.-, includes both transportation and the assistance of our guide during the trip to Lucerne. Independent travel to Bürgenstock would normally cost CHF 115.60 per person, making our tour a cost-effective option for those looking for a combination of guided and independent exploration. In any case, we hope that you were able to enjoy the beautiful views from Bürgentock and hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you on another tour in the future, perhaps a fully guided one. Best regards, Clara from Best of Switzerland Tours
We had the most enjoyable time on the Best of Switzerland tour! A huge thank you to the team for making it such a memorable experience for us. Special appreciation to Verona—she was absolutely the best! Her knowledge, warmth, and enthusiasm truly made the trip exceptional. We will cherish these wonderful memories forever. Highly recommend
It did not inform that I would be completely only on this tour without a guide, and I had to wait for the guide to finish the Tour that he had to Mount Pick 3 to 4 hrs, not a good experience. I would not recommend this tour.
Dear Monica, Thank you very much for joining our Lucerne & Bürgenstock tour and for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you would not recommend this tour. As mentioned in the tour description on Viator, this tour is guided from Zurich to Lucerne and from Lucerne back to Zurich by a multilingual guide. However, for the independent portion of the tour in Lucerne and at Bürgenstock, the guide provides the necessary tickets, and guests are given a detailed itinerary upon check-in. This leaflet includes recommendations for activities and places to visit during your free time. We regret that this information was overlooked, and we understand how this may have led to expectations of a fully guided experience. Despite this inconvenience, we hope you were still able to enjoy the beauty of Bürgenstock and the charming sights of Lucerne. We would love to have the opportunity to welcome you back on your next visit, perhaps with a fully guided tour for a more comprehensive experience. Best regards, Magdalena from Best of Switzerland Tours
Nice clean bus transportation to Lucerne, where you have ample hours to explore on your own. You are given a ferry/clog wheel funicular train voucher, to take to the pier 1, and exchange for a ticket. The ferry boat that has restrooms, leaves from Pier 3, and takes you to and from Burgenstock. You are given a map and a few instructions when dropped off in Lucerne. We were given 6 1/2 hours of free time to explore the city, which is plenty of time, if you pre-map out a plan, ahead of time. Recommend you take the Tram early, to checkin at the bus station for your ferry voucher, and to use the free restrooms there.
Guide was ok, rather quiet. Left us at the cities for us to explore on our own, a lot of down time and things to figure out on our own. Would have preferred someone that brought us around and conduct a tour instead of "transportation to the sites". Beautiful spots by the way.
Dear JitS65, Thank you very much for having joined our partly guided tour to Lucerne and Bürgenstock and for taking the time to rate your experience. As officially stated in our programme, our tour is accompanied by a professional multilingual guide from Zurich to Lucerne and back to Zurich. The stay in Lucerne and the visit to Bürgenstock are unguided. For this part, our guests receive a comprehensive information booklet including schedules, upgrade options as well as recommendations of sights and activities. Hopefully, the views and the visited sites have partly made up for the missing guidance and that you will keep the tour in good memory nevertheless. We hope that you enjoyed a wonderful stay in Switzerland and look forward to welcoming you back on our tours on your next trip to Zürich. Best regards, Best of Switzerland Tours
