Superb day Ahmed Refaat, our guide, is just super friendly, welcoming, he knows his country and its history well. We had a great time with him. Ramy the driver who accompanies him is just perfect. Renee, Morgane and Joel Stevens
Merci beaucoup de mettre votre commentaire sur le website. J`espere que vous reviendrez un jour en Egypte pour une nouvelle excursion avec notre agence GOTOEGYPTTOURS. A` Bientot.
Tiring but beautiful. A trip by tourist bus (not really brand new but overall comfortable) departing at 2.45am. Valley of the Kings, Visit to local craftsmen, mini tour along the Nile to get from west to east, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple and demonstration of how papyrus is made.
Majestic we can't not go see Luxor. The Temples, the valleys of the kings, the Nile. Not to miss. Cap and sunscreen....it's very hot.
A day indeed never to forget... At 4 o'clock, we were picked up by 2 drivers who unfortunately didn't speak a word of English. So, it was not possible to communicate in any way. When we asked how long the journey would take, we didn't receive an answer. After 3.5 hours, we made the first stop, and with the intervention of someone else, we were able to ask how long the trip would take. It turned out to be over 6 hours. That means sitting in a taxi with two drivers for 12 hours without any conversation. Apparently, the government has closed a shorter route, but this information is not mentioned on their website, and you are not informed about it either. So, the total trip is about 20 hours, with approximately 12 hours in the taxi. We decided to stop halfway because the prospect of spending 12 hours in a taxi without any form of communication was definitely not worth it for us
First of all, we Gotoegypttours would like to thank you for writing your review on our page on TripAdvisor and viator. Secondly, Mr. Edwin you have decided yourself to book this tour with us through viator, so you know all the details about the tour before doing it. It's mentioned in the details that your pick up time will be at 4 am. Plus our Gotoegypttours representative had contacted with you one week before your arrival to Egypt, confirming that everything is ready and we are up to do this tour for you. Our representative asked you if you need anything and gave you his WhatsApp number to communicate with in case of problem or emergency. The evidence of what I say is that our Gotoegypttours representative asked you to send him copies of your passport to prepare the security permission for the journey from Marsa Alam to luxor and the way back. You gently sent them to him. Thirdly, you mentioned that you were picked up by two drivers and you wonder why especially two drivers. These are the security procedures here in Egypt during long tours. These procedures that we should follow and respect. These procedures that make us obliged to use the long road but safe and under the full control of the Egyptian police, I mean check points on the way to luxor. Fourthly, you say that both drivers can not speak English. It's not logic. How come? In case you have one driver, you may say that. But it's not fair. We deal with drivers who speak English. Fifthly, you mentioned that you had not received any answer about the duration of the journey. It's not true, again I repeat our Gotoegypttours representative gave you the details before you start the tour. Sixthly, you mentioned the first stop. That's right after 3 or 3 and half hours. The tourists stop at a coffee shop where there are clean restrooms in case they need. At the same time, we were informed that both our Gotoegypttours representative and guide had contacted with you via the driver's cell phone. So you asked them about the duration of the journey and they kindly answered your questions. Then you suddenly decided to come back to Marsa Alam. This means you have made the decision yourself coming back to your hotel in Marsa Alam and not to complete your journey to luxor where your tour, supposed to start. This is not our fault nor decision. It's yours. We prepared everything for you to spend nice time in luxor. Our deal with viator is to do tours for tourists and to do our best and we respect, keep our word with viator. Seventhly, you mentioned (it turned out to be over 6 hours). It is because you ordered the drivers to drive you back to Marsa Alam. This means that you had talked to the driver in English and he understood you. So he speaks and understands English, unlike what you had written or mentioned in the beginning of your review. Then you wrote (12 hours in the taxi) tell me how come? The journey from Marsa Alam to luxor is about 5 hours, and 5 hours from luxor to Marsa Alam on the way back. This means 10 hours not 12 hours. I think you exaggerate you just want to criticize us and our services. Finally, it's not the first time to handle and arrange this tour. We have done it before twice, and you can revise or read the good and logic reviews written by the tourists from different countries. We accept logic criticism that helps us improve our services and satisfy our tourists. But we don't accept criticism for criticism.
A long day from Marsa Alam but it is definitely worth it. Departure at 3:30 am return at 9 pm. But what archaeological beauties.
Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire. Nous sommes toujours à votre service.
Beautiful day, very well organized, our guide Ahmed taught us a lot of things, gave us little tips and allowed us to take all the time needed to take pictures. He and the drivers were really friendly. The lunch, in a picturesque setting, was really delicious. And the little surprise... a boat crossing of the Nile. What more can I ask?
