Visitez la vieille ville de Takuapa et observez les vieux bâtiments d'époque, les petits cafés et les célèbres mines d'étain. Cette visite historique et culturelle explore la vieille ville de Takuapa, anciennement connue sous le nom de « Takola ». Situé à environ 32 km au nord de Khao Lak. La belle architecture sino-portugaise et la richesse de la communauté doivent leurs origines à l'industrie minière de l'étain, une époque importante dans la ville, et en fait l'histoire de la ville. Découvrez les rues de la vieille ville bordées de beaux exemples d'architecture sino-portugaise. Nous visiterons le marché de Takuapa avant de nous diriger vers le centre culturel Nam Kem, un musée géré par des locaux et fait d'argile. Enfin, nous visitons le Tsunami Memorial Park, un lieu tranquille et paisible propice à la réflexion et au souvenir.

Un dessert populaire dans le quartier Takua Pa de Phang Nga est le gâteau Taosor. Il ressemble à un gâteau de lune chinois mais en plus petit.
Les bâtiments de styles architecturaux chinois et portugais sont préservés. Les visiteurs peuvent se promener et voir le mode de vie des habitants de la vieille ville de Takuapa.
Visitez le musée international du tsunami, dédié à montrer et à préserver pour les générations futures l'histoire tragique du tsunami du lendemain de Noël de 2004 qui a dévasté la région. Des milliers de vies ont été perdues, des entreprises ont été ruinées et une grande partie du littoral a subi de terribles dommages. Le musée documente la chronologie des événements, ainsi que la période post-catastrophe, y compris le processus de reconstruction en cours. Avec des panneaux d'information et des expositions, le musée raconte une histoire désespérément triste d'une manière simple.

The places of interest on the tour were great. The guide was friendly and took photos and all. Guide needs to know more about the places she took us to. Not very knowledgeable. The lunch provided in a local cafe was of a very poor quality some of the items on the menu we requested for were not available. I have the photos to prove that. I let the guide know that this was the worst tour lunch, we have had and I have travelled and done tours a lot before. Please do not let the name of Viator be tarnished because of a shoddy tour operator.I am ready to share my experience with a representative from Viator. On a bright note I had left a parcel with some ginger tea and a few items bought from the Tsuname museum were returned to my hotel by them the next day in the evening.
Quite expensive - it said a whole day trip, it only took 3 h, in the description it said 6 h, so we were a bit underwhelmed. Our driver was nice and everything but there was a bit of a language barrier, we thought he mostly remained a driver - not a tour guide. Though we liked that we had a lot of free time when watching, so if you’re tending to be introverted this would be the perfect choice (not sarcastically)

It is a private tour - just the two of us in a car. Our guide Moo was extremely helpful friendly and a careful and goog driver. His personal experience of the 2004 tsunami was an added bonus

Had a very good day! Ended up just being me and my partner with Mr Mark as our driver which made it a more personal experience. Was enlightening to visit the tsunami memorial, really put it into perspective just what a tragedy it was. My favourite part was the temple visit.

Great tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Wonderful way to spend a rainy day in Khao Lake. The lunch that was provided was amazing from Happy Beach. The old town was very quaint with colourful buildings and the history was interesting to hear. Went to a couple of temples and the guide explantion of the history was very informative. I would highly recommend this tour.

The guide was not a guide. The company sent a person to accompany us on the walk: "you can go here, wherever you want" the "guide" told us. I asked her about the tsunami when I went to the Memorial - "I don't know" was the answer. The tour lasted 3 hours, not 6 as specified in the description. Don't get me wrong- the driver and the young lady who was the guide were very kind, nice.

My husband and I were transported in an air conditioned car. Having a driver and guide made the day very easy and informative. We were taken to very clean eating places that provided delicious food and iced Thai coffee and given ice cold bottled water regularly. This tour allowed us to learn about daily life, religion and culture in this very beautiful area of Thailand. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.
