La Maison de la Vierge Marie est l'endroit où Marie a pu passer ses derniers jours. En effet, elle est peut-être venue dans la région avec Saint John. Ce lieu a été officiellement déclaré sanctuaire de l'Église catholique romaine en 1986, et depuis lors, il est devenu un lieu de pèlerinage populaire. Le pape Paul VI a visité le sanctuaire en 1967. La visite à la maison (église) dure environ 45 minutes et après notre visite; il y aura 5 minutes en voiture d'Ephèse.
Éphèse est un témoignage exceptionnel des traditions culturelles des périodes hellénistique, impériale romaine et paléochrétienne. Ephèse est un site important pour le christianisme; étant l'une des sept Églises de l'Apocalypse. L'apôtre Paul a probablement passé deux ans et demi à Éphèse au cours de son troisième voyage missionnaire. En deux heures, vous explorerez la ville en vous promenant dans les rues de marbre, accompagné de notre guide anglophone. Au cours de notre visite, nous verrons Odéon, Agora d'État, Prytaneion, Memmius Monument, Domatian Temple, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, Hadrian Temple, Latriens. Les visites à Private House (soi-disant bordel, «Terrace Houses») sont une visite facultative pour un supplément de 25 extra / personne et votre guide doit être informé au préalable. Après Terrace Houses, nous poursuivrons notre exploration avec la bibliothèque Celus, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather, Arcadiane (Harbor Road).
Nous poursuivrons la visite du Temple d'Artémis; qui est l'une des «sept merveilles» de l'antiquité. Ici, il y aura de bonnes chances de prendre des photos de l'église de St.JohnandMosque d'İsa Beyfrom sous le meilleur angle également.
Sirince est un ancien village de «Rum» (Grecs byzantins) situé sur les collines de Selçuk et à 7 km d'Ephèse. Dans le cadre du traité de paix après la guerre nationale turque (1919-1922), un échange officiel de turcs et de grecs a été convenu et Sirince est désormais habité par des turcs. Le village est populaire pour ses belles maisons traditionnelles et sa production de vin aromatisé aux fruits; et vous aurez du temps libre pour une dégustation de vin.

Our guide was fantastic, very good-natured and did a great job managing the group which was diverse with some young children and older people so we didn’t move very fast. We would have enjoyed more time in Ephesus which was the main reason we came to the area. We did add the Terrace houses (paying additional 15€ each onsite when asked if anyone wanted to stop there - it’s inside the ancient city) though nobody else in the tour did this. We thought it was super interesting to see what an actual Roman house and village looked like. But had to zoom through it since timing so tight and this took even more time away from the short duration to see Ephesus ruins.

What a beautiful trip with lots of explanations about Ephesus and Sirinze by our guide Hüray and driver Ali who drove us through a beautiful landscape. Booked through Get Your Guide with this company. Excellent day trip. Gulay, our guide, was extremely informative and spoke excellent English. The tour gave us plenty of time at each of the sites, and also included a very tasty, filling lunch. The bus was clean and spacious. We particularly enjoyed that this was a small group experience as it was also very nice to get to meet the other passengers from a wide variety of countries. Ephesus itself was incredible, such an interesting and enjoyable place to visit. I would advise visitors to wear sensible shoes as the marble sloping walkways are very slippery. The village of Sirence was also very pretty and we enjoyed visiting here as part of the trip. Overall, we felt the trip was well organised and good value for money.
Pick up and drop off to my hotel door were seamless. Our guide Nizam (sp?) was amazing. So nice and knowledgeable. He made everyone feel comfortable and made us laugh the whole day. I’m especially grateful for his timing of the day. He kept us ahead of cruise ship groups and out of the sun at the hottest times of day.
