La Maison de la Vierge Marie est l'endroit où Marie a peut-être passé ses derniers jours. En effet, elle est peut-être venue dans la région avec Saint John. Ce lieu a été officiellement déclaré sanctuaire de l'Église catholique romaine en 1986 et est depuis devenu un lieu de pèlerinage populaire. Le pape Paul VI a visité le sanctuaire en 1967.
Ephesus est un témoignage exceptionnel des traditions culturelles des périodes hellénistique, impériale romaine et du début du christianisme. Ephèse est un site important pour le christianisme; être l'une des sept églises de la révélation. L'apôtre Paul a probablement passé deux ans et demi à Éphèse lors de son troisième voyage missionnaire. Dans deux heures, vous explorerez la ville en marchant dans les rues en marbre, accompagnés de notre guide anglophone. Au cours de notre visite, nous verrons l'Odéon, l'Agora d'État, Prytaneion, le monument Memmius, le temple Domatian, la porte d'Hercule, la rue Curetes, le temple Hadrien et les Latriens. Les visites à la maison privée (appelée «maison close») sont des visites facultatives pour 25 / personne supplémentaires et votre guide doit en être informé au préalable. Après Terrace Houses, nous poursuivrons notre exploration avec la bibliothèque Celus, Marble Road, l’Agora commerciale, Great Theather et Arcadine (Harbour Road). Après le déjeuner; nous poursuivrons avec la visite au temple d'Artémis; qui est l'une des sept merveilles de l'antiquité. Sirince est un vieux village de ‘Rum’ (Grecs byzantins) situé sur les collines de Selcuk et à 7 km d’Éphèse. Dans le cadre du traité de paix après la guerre nationale turque (1919-1922), un échange formel de turcs et de grecs a été convenu et Sirince est maintenant habité par des Turcs. Le village est populaire pour ses belles maisons traditionnelles et sa production de vin aromatisé aux fruits; et vous aurez un temps libre pour une dégustation de vin.

Perfect sized tour of the ancient city of Ephesus, well worth the flight from Istanbul to Izmir and onto Ephesus. A visit to the House where the Virgin Mary lived out her last days, and then a great tour of Ephesus, a thriving city back in ancient times. The Temple of Artemis, one of the Ancient wonders is no longer there but what remains gives you a scale of the glory in ancient times. Our guide was great and knowledgeable, allowing stops to make sure no one was too exhausted given the heat. Overall excellent tour!
We went with a small group day trip from Izmir to Ephesus and house of Virgin Mary. The whole trip was very well organised starting from pick up from our hotel right on time. Nijam , our guide was friendly, knowledgable and made our whole trip very enjoyable. We got enough time to visit every place and he described nicely about the history. The lunch was included and was very good.It was good value for money. I will surely recommend this trip to see the world heritage site at Ephesus.
Excellent ruin site. Our guide was engaging and fun and the pace was good gving us enough time on our own after filling us with knowledge plus good weather and no crowds.

We had a last second idea to visit Ephesus and contacted the company a day before and they were more than happy to oblige. They were very responsive and paired us with Gul as our guide and she was phenomenal. She took care and attention to each detail and answered every question we had. Highly recommend this tour. The sites were amazing. Especially when learning about the history and religious significance. I have been on plenty of tours around the world and Nizam is absolutely one of the best guides! He was engaging, funny, informative and made the group feel like one! Great tour with Nizam! He’s knowledgeable, personable and fun. The itinerary is great, really enjoyed the ruins in Ephesus and praying at the Virgin Mary’s home. However, the highlight was the town of Sirince. Nizam walked us through the town, introducing us to friends along the way which were super friendly. We enjoyed the atmosphere and some dancing in the street! Book the tour , you wont regret it ☺️ Final note: the lunch provided was delicious!
