La visite commencera par une promenade dans la célèbre rue Nawate, également connue sous le nom de Frog Street, au centre-ville de Matsumoto. Complètement fermée aux voitures privées, cette rue offre un espace de détente pour faire du lèche-vitrines, déguster des glaces et des collations locales, ou visiter le sanctuaire Yohashira adjacent.
Ensuite, vous serez conduit à l'intérieur du château de Matsumoto après une courte promenade. L'un des 12 châteaux originaux restant au Japon et l'un des plus grands et des plus impressionnants parmi ces 12, ce château est tout ce que vous devez voir pour mieux comprendre le mode de vie et la gouvernance des samouraïs dans l'ancien Japon. Non seulement historique mais aussi extrêmement beau, le château de Matsumoto vous séduira à coup sûr par son design extérieur audacieux mais délicat.
Après avoir quitté le château de Matsumoto, les invités monteront à bord du bus touristique dédié et prendront la route en direction de la ville postale de Narai-juku. Connue comme la plus longue ville postale du Japon, avec plus d'un kilomètre de bâtiments traditionnels en bois bordant son unique rue principale, cette ville est tout ce dont vous avez rêvé lorsqu'il s'agit de posséder une atmosphère japonaise traditionnelle. Ici, votre guide vous guidera à travers la ville et vous expliquera l'histoire et le but de cette ville et pourquoi elle était importante. Il y aura également une activité saisonnière, comme entrer dans une vieille maison préservée ou fabriquer des baguettes à la main, dont le prix est couvert dans la visite.

We had the most amazing one day tour with our guide Hiroshi! We ended up booking on a cold and rainy day, which worked out for the best as we were the only ones on the tour and both Matsumoto and Narai-Juku were not very busy. There is a bit of driving involved but it’s totally worth it to learn all about two important and beautiful landmarks in Japan. The tour guide went above and beyond answering all our questions, and providing so much knowledge about the two landmarks. Would highly recommend!
Our one-day journey to Matsumoto Castle and Narai-juku was truly memorable, and it would not have been this seamless without the excellent arrangements by the Snow Monkey Resort team. While the weather happened to be rather nasty, snow monkey resorts with Jens were both welcoming and warm :) We have visited matsumoto and Kiso Valley. Going with SMR allowed us to rest a bit on our longer journey - we departed on a comfortable bus from our hotel and was brought to the same place afterwards. We enjoyed the trip and all the valuable info we got. Our kids were happy as well.

Came with my family. Endo (I hope I spelled this correctly) was good. He even took as to a secret viewing spot to see Matsumoto castle from the top. The pace of the tour was great too. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Great one-day trip from Nagano to Matsumoto Castle and Narai-juku. The itinerary was well balanced, combining an iconic historical site with a beautifully preserved post town.
