Chaouen ou Chefchaouen la perle bleue est une ville située dans la montagne du Rif, au nord-ouest du Maroc. Elle est connue pour les bâtiments remarquables de différentes nuances de bleu délavé de sa vieille ville. La visite avec un guide est incluse dans le prix de la visite et se terminera par un délicieux déjeuner dans l'un des restaurants marocains d'un joli Riad avec une belle vue sur Chefchaouen.

La ville de Ouazzane est bien connue au Maroc et dans tout le monde islamique comme capitale spirituelle car elle abritait plusieurs piliers du soufisme. Elle est également connue sous le nom de « Dar Dmana » (« Maison de sécurité ») en raison du tombeau d'Idrisi Sharif du XVIIIe siècle. De nombreux juifs du Maroc considèrent Ouazzane comme une ville sainte et y font des pèlerinages pour vénérer le tombeau de plusieurs marabouts (saints marocains), notamment le moul Anrhaz, nom local du rabbin Amram ben Diwan, rabbin du XVIIIe siècle qui vivait dans la ville. et dont le lieu de sépulture est associé à un certain nombre de miracles.
Chefchaouen, également connue sous le nom de Chaouen, est une ville du nord-ouest du Maroc. Elle est le chef-lieu de la province du même nom et se distingue par ses bâtiments aux tons bleus, ce qui lui vaut le surnom de « Ville bleue ». Elle est située dans une région montagneuse du nord du Maroc, entre Tétouan et Ouazzane.

It is a long 5 hour drive both ways from Casablanca to Chefchaouen but it was good to see the diversity of Morocco. Our driver Ilyas was so kind & took good care of us, always offering water & checking that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble & we had as much time as we wanted. Our guide Buba in Chefchaouen was full of knowledge as he was born & bred there and wanted us to have a good experience. We chose to do it as a day trip so that we didn’t have to lug our cases around.

It’s very interesting, educational, & enjoyable. The driver Kamal was very considerate, patient & understanding. The tour guide , Abdul was so knowledgeable but not just that , he made Chefchouen not just gaining knowledge of the place interesting, but exciting & enjoyable. Both were considerate & patient with me because both of them made it easy for me to manage myself due to my limited mobility. A very long day but well worth it! Ilyas was a fantastic driver/guide with a wealth of knowledge & love of all things Moroccan. He was a real gentleman who took such good care of us. Baba was our Chefchaouen tour guide who was also very knowledgeable, sweet & patient. Chefchaouen was so unique & beautiful, not to be missed! I highly recommend this tour.

Our driver was Ilyas and was knowledgeable about the countryside and towns over the 4 hour drive. Very safe also. So courteous. Bubba was our tour guide in the village and he was raised in Chef Chaouen! What a delight he was. Everyone knows Bubba and he has many stories of religion, history from 400 yrs. Ago, and recommendations. Every aspect of this is worth it.

Group tour turned into a private tour for us. Both driver and town guide spoke English well. Full of information on the drive. Our guide grew up in the town and knew everyone and everyone knew him. It was a long drive from Casablanca and then back but we were glad we did the trip. I'd suggest maybe staying in Rabat or Tangier and taking the shorter drive to the town. We were flying out the next day back to USA so we didn't want to complicate it by staying in a town that is closer. Final thought - this town was the highlight of our trip. Not to be missed.

Everything was just perfect. We felt in love with the Chefchaouen. Couldn't stop taking pictures. We were picked up at hotel by Ilyas, who did everything to make sure our trip was very comfortable and enjoyable. Upon arrival to the blue city we were met by English-speaking tour guide, who showed us this beautiful city. We had good lunch at a very nice restaurant. We highly recommend this tour.

We had a great tour to the blue city Chefchaouen with a super professional and friendly driver guide Ilyas in a very confortable car, he was always eager to answer and give us information to our questions.
