Fred our guide was excellent. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and looked after us very well. We loved our day seeing the main Nanjing sites with him. Also Alana in the office was brilliant too. All in all highly recommended!!
We had a wonderful experience with John. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He went out of his way to make the day memorable, meaningful and special. Would highly highly recommend him.
I strongly recommend John for anyone visiting Nanjing. Today, he and his driver gave me a full-day experience that far exceeded my expectations. John is incredibly knowledgeable. He didn’t just recite dates and names, he explained complex history in a way that was clear, engaging, and easy to follow. From the stories at the Memorial Hall to the rich layers of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the City Wall, everything was brought to life with depth and clarity. What really stood out was how flexible and accommodating he was. I had a few specific wishes for the route and pacing, and John made sure every single one was met without ever feeling rushed. He listened carefully and adjusted the tour seamlessly. The driver was also professional and courteous, navigating the city smoothly so we could focus entirely on the sights. If you want a deep, personalized, and stress-free tour of Nanjing, book this tour. He doesn’t just show you the city, he helps you understand it.
My wife and I had an absolutely amazing day trip to Nanjing from Shanghai with Alana and her team. Booking and pre trip coordination was fuss free and easy. Alana was very prompt in her responses and advices. Meet up was like a gathering with friends as Alana sent Caroline, whom we met in our previous trips with them. She assisted us with our transfer via high speed rail to Nanjing and sent us to the boarding platform. Fred, the Nanjing guide, was right there waiting for us as we stepped out from the Nanjing station. He was patient, knowledgeable and considerate as he brought us to 中华门,夫子庙,中山陵 and 明孝陵. He shared with us the history, stories and insights into the rich history and culture of Nanjing and gave us a good appreciation of Nanjing and her place in Chinese history. We learnt a lot. Fred fed us very well too and we enjoyed the lunch. Transfer back to Shanghai was equally easy. Caroline picked us from Shanghai station and sent us to 豫园 at our request for our dinner. From 8 am to 7 pm, it was a fun, enriching and enjoyable day out. We could not have have asked for more. Thank you Alana, Caroline and Fred! We look forward to our next trip with you when we next visit Shanghai.
Our tour guide, John, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. While we did not take advantage of selecting the sites to visit ourselves, and opted for the standard itinerary, I liked how there were options, and we visited other sites that John recommended. He even took us to lunch halfway through and explained the local cuisine. At one point, we had to get cash to enter one of the sites, and he calmly and patiently led us to bank. Overall, I had a great experience.
Booked a day tour with them to understand more about nanjing’s history as we go through the sites and they did not disappoint at all! Fred was super knowledgable and shared so much interesting context and background at all the sites. He also easily answered our countless questions so that was a plus. We honestly thought he was a walking encyclopedia haha. The lunch was also yummy :) Anyway, this was worth every dime and would recommend this to everyone! Many thanks to Alana and Fred for this day tour!
It is a very informative and impressive tour. We, a group of 8, traveled from Shanghai by high speed train to start the tour at Nanjing train station. Jenny, our tour guide, met us at the station as planed. She is very knowledgeable and took a very good care of our group. Our group has leaned a lot about China history starting from Ming dynasty to China civil war period. The traffic is Nanjing is rather heavy during the rush hours. Spare some time if you have to take a train back to Shanghai as we did.
Great Tour with Fred. Very good English, and knowledge of the Nanjing. He took us to all the major sites and helped us out with a few extras.
John was an excellent guide. He could switch seamlessly between Mandarin and English. I highly recommend him if you are English speaking but understand some Mandarin as some concepts, ideas, words are better explained in Mandarin. Alana also provides great service support.
It was our last day in China, so we buy a return train ticket from Shanghai and reserved this tour. It turned out a good decision. We have an excellent service from Shi-shi, our tour guide, to visit the main attractions in Nanjing: Sun Yatsen mausoleum, Ming Tomb, the ancient city wall, and Confucius Temple. We also explore the Qinhuai riverbank and had an excellent lunch in the local restaurant. The itinerary is flexible. Since we are interested in history and culture of China, the tour can easily cater to our needs and interests. 5 stars!
