Excursion d'une journée complète à Tolantongo depuis Querétaro

Description

Our trip to Grutas Tolantongo was absolutely incredible! The scenery was breathtaking, and it was such a unique experience exploring one of Mexico’s most beautiful destinations. Our guide, Diego, was outstanding, he shared history about the area and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Highly recommend this tour!
Our host Diego was very friendly and helped prepare us for everything we needed to bring and what to leave home. Our pickup was seamless and the breakfast option was fantastic (and vegetarian friendly)! We had fun conversation in the comfortable SUV and he handled our noisy kids in the third row like a champ! Tolantango was a wonderful experience. The hot pools were sublime on their own, but I wasn't expecting such a magnificent canyon view beyond them! The cave/tunnel was our family's favorite part of the trip and it was the most unusual part. Traversing through warm water while cold water pours upon you is invigorating! Our older two kids are confident swimmers and had no issues, but we held close to our youngest. Be mindful of bringing too many little ones that aren't strong swimmers. Lunch was great and so was swimming in the river. Although we didn't get much time there and that felt rushed. But it was kind of expected when we have so much distance to cover in one day. Overall wonderful experience for our family we would recommend anyone to try! Note: we went on a weekday and especially the hot pools were fairly crowded (but not too bad). I've heard it can be much worse on the weekends.
We really enjoyed this tour even though the trip is long. We were fortunate that both the guide and the group that played us were all very friendly and there was never a lack of good conversation all the way. Diego, our guide, was always very attentive and helpful. He kept us informed at all times and provided us with everything we could need and we never had to battle with anything. It was very convenient for all areas to move in the van to optimize the time and leave what we needed at hand. At the end of the day it is very appreciated that Diego already had ready the food we had chosen in advance, which we could enjoy quietly by the river in a picnic with the rest of the group. Tolantongo is wonderful, it is a beautiful place among the mountains, with an amazing view. We were lucky that there weren't too many people to go on weekdays. The pools, the grottos and the river, all a great experience. Each with his own charm. The warm turquoise waters are beautiful. We lived an amazing experience and are very grateful to have matched with a wonderful group of people. In conclusion it is a great tour that is totally worth it. We would definitely take a tour with Diego again if we had the chance. Thank you very much to Diego. We hope one day to return to Tolantongo but this time stay there to enjoy the place more.
It was a great experience. Loved the caves and waterfall. Roads were extremely bumpy on the way. The breakfast was good but would have rather spent more time at the location.
Tolantongo is a wonderful and beautiful place, truly one of the best places I have ever been to. The warm pools are so relaxing and the views are stunning. Getting here is a very long and strenuous journey. The van was not comfortable. Also, one negative aspect was that the given itinerary was not adhered to. Lunch was scheduled from 1:15 to 3:15, we ate at 4:30. As someone with some blood sugar issues this could have been a real problem. My friends explored the caves and thought they were spectacular. There are few places to sit and rest here, be prepared for many very wet steps and a lot of walking. Water shoes are a must! My advice would be to visit this on your own and stay overnight in one of the hotels.
Hello, this is Lalo, the tour operator. First of all, we’re glad to read you’re doing well! Medical conditions should always be mentioned to our hosts, drivers, and staff, as this is a serious concern. Addressing such matters allows us to be empathetic and provide the best care for our guests—I completely agree with that. Regarding lunch time, as mentioned in the message sent prior to the tour, we ask for flexibility, as it may be adjusted based on the day's circumstances. We appreciate your review—it helps us improve our service. Thank you!
The trip was amazing, however the guide should have explained more in details the process as Tolantongo park is big and I got lost. He should really emphasize the meating point in the park, maybe ask people to take photos of name places of f business we meeting at . Let us know to keep swim suits on all day bcz we will be inside caves covered in water . We had a long drive in the morning and there was plenty of time to explain. Nothing was provided, till the end very very brief. He did help a lot, but I was not prepared to swim in my shorts and top. I though the gruts was it He could have told me to leave my glasses in the car instead of in the cave full of waterfalls with them. Lots and lots of explanations as a guide was close to zero.
More than a tour, it was an experience. The place was beautiful and the grottoes incredible. The guides were also very friendly and the day pleasant. I recommend it.
¡Muchas gracias por su visita!
I loved this tour! It's a bit of a trek but well worth it. Everything was organized and the communication was great. I would definitely book again!
The tour included my sister and me. It was more personable. The tour guide was friendly and we got to enjoy the one to one getting to know our guide and the area we traveled.
The company did a really nice job managing what would otherwise have been incredibly logistically complicated—and the sites itself were so, so stunning—highly recommend to anyone considering it!
