C'est une véritable expérience d'eau vive !! Frayez-vous un chemin le long du fleuve Colorado à travers les rapides de Westwater Canyon, où en plus des paysages désertiques accidentés, vous avez la possibilité d'apercevoir des animaux sauvages, des pygargues à tête blanche aux loutres de rivière et aux castors. Au cours d'une journée, tenez-vous bien pendant que votre guide vous aide à naviguer dans les eaux vives de classe III et de classe IV, où les rapides portent des noms tels que Sock-It-To-Me, Funnel Falls et Skull. Ce voyage offre une poussée d'adrénaline au milieu des murs de canyons de roches rouges et est idéal pour le voyageur qui aime les défis et un peu d'aventure dans le désert.

La visite elle-même commence à Moab où vous rencontrerez votre guide professionnel et recevrez un briefing d'introduction sur la sécurité pour être en forme avec le gilet de sauvetage et l'équipement. De là, montez dans la camionnette pour le trajet jusqu'à la mise en place sur une section pittoresque de la rivière, où votre guide vous offrira des instructions supplémentaires sur la conduite à l'intérieur du radeau. Une fois que vous êtes prêt, éloignez-vous de la rive sablonneuse et préparez-vous à éclabousser le canyon.
Lors de cette aventure de rafting en eau vive, vous aurez la chance de voir des pétroglyphes sculptés dans les rochers des premiers habitants de la région, ou d'anciennes cabanes minières, des tombes et des grottes datant du vieux Far West. En passant devant un vieux peuplier, levez les yeux vers le ciel pour chercher des pygargues à tête blanche et ils planent et côtoient au gré de la brise, et gardez un œil sur les loutres et les castors qui éclaboussent et nagent dans les tourbillons. Vous traverserez 12 rapides de classes III et IV différents. Votre guide ramera sur le radeau avec des rames, vous pourrez donc simplement vous accrocher pour la balade, absorbant le paysage désertique pendant que vous vous frayez un chemin dans le canyon. Au milieu de la journée, votre guide pagayera jusqu'à une rive sablonneuse dans une section plus calme de l'eau, où vous profiterez d'un copieux déjeuner buffet et pourrez prendre un bain rafraîchissant. À partir de là, continuez à vous frayer un chemin en aval et à écouter vos échos dans le canyon, avant de quitter le fleuve Colorado pour le retour confortable à Moab.

Our full-day Westwater Canyon rafting trip with Adrift was one of the highlights of our entire Moab adventure. The scenery is absolutely world-class and unlike anything I've experienced before. Towering canyon walls, incredible geology, and breathtaking views make this one of the most beautiful rafting trips anywhere. A special shout-out to our guide, Steve, who made the day exceptional. He was knowledgeable, professional, fun, and did a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged while making us feel safe and confident on the river. His passion for the canyon and rafting really elevated the experience. The entire crew was outstanding, and it's clear that Adrift has built a strong culture focused on customer experience and safety. I also want to recognize owner "Cranky Mike." With more than 50 years of experience, his leadership shows. He has built an impressive operation with an excellent team, and it is obvious why Adrift has such a great reputation. The rapids were exciting, the scenery was unforgettable, and the entire experience was incredibly well organized from start to finish. If you're visiting Moab and looking for a true bucket-list adventure, Westwater Canyon with Adrift should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!!!!!!

This is a great company headquartered in north Moab. They came well-recommended by the B&B we were staying at in town so we booked early with them on Viator. There's a variety of different types of tours you can book both on and off the water. Ie. Jeep tours, rafting, etc. We chose to go rafting as my wife and I usually do one of these trips each Summer. We chose the full day Westwater Canyon trip as it offered a nice mix of liesurely float in the morning, a provided lunch, and Class 3 and 4 rapids in the afternoon. My wife and I had forgotten some rafting essentials so we were pleased to find a very comprehensive shop in the store with everything you'd possibly need plus company merch. After about an 1.5 hour drive, we set out with another group of 8 on two rafts each with its own guide. Our guide, Turner, was experienced, super professional, and full of great stories during the float portion of the trip. Sandwich buffet lunch was good although something didn't agree with my wife's stomach. Turner handled the rapids portion of the trip flawlessly and we all had a huge amount of fun! At this time the water level was low so the Colorado River wasn't running too fast. As a result, the rapids, although fun, we're a bit tame. This was definitely NOT the fault of the company but rather our choice of time of our vacation and the conditions of the water. In order to get to the takeout location, we used a motor which saved a huge amount of time. All-in-all a fun day with beautiful scenery and great service from a good company. Highly recommend this excursion!

In May I was on a guys trip, and we made the best decision of our trip to drive the four hours to Moab and do a full day of white water rafting with Adrift Adventures and the greatest guide in the game Claire. Claire handled leading a raft of seven guys as well as anyone could and was both a fun and informative guide along the way, who definitely elevated the overall experience. I speak for our entire group when I say it was the highlight of our trip and one of the best days we had in a while.
