Déconnectez-vous d'au moins une journée de la ville et profitez pleinement de la nature qui entoure cette vallée. Notre guide vous montrera toutes les beautés telles que les énormes oiseaux, les magnifiques alpagas et vigognes et plus de 79 types de cactus. Notre visite commence très tôt pour pouvoir arriver à l'heure à la Croix du Condor et observer les condors voler au-dessus de nos têtes, suivre notre route vers différentes petites villes et bien sûr visiter les sources chaudes relaxantes.

Itinéraire
Après avoir récupéré tous les participants, nous partons d’Arequipa à 3h30 du matin. Nous nous dirigerons ensuite vers Chivay où nous nous arrêterons pour le petit-déjeuner. Nous poursuivrons ensuite vers la Croix du Condor, le meilleur endroit pour observer le canyon et les célèbres oiseaux du Condor andin.
Le canyon de Colca est deux fois plus profond que le Grand Canyon. La région entourant le canyon est réputée pour ses villes traditionnelles et colorées que vous traverserez en cours de route. Dans le Canyon, vous pouvez trouver plus de 100 types d'oiseaux, plus de 300 types de plantes et plus de 30 types de cactus. Le point culminant du canyon est Ampato, à 6388 mètres d'altitude. Ces sommets enneigés forment une toile de fond impressionnante pour le Canyon.
Après la croix du condor, nous nous dirigeons vers les sources chaudes situées près de Chivay. L'entrée coûte 15 soles et n'est pas incluse dans le prix. Dans les sources thermales, vous trouverez différentes piscines avec une température de l’eau allant de 30 ° C à 60 ° C. Entrer dans les sources thermales est facultatif mais c’est une expérience agréable.
Sur le chemin du retour à Arequipa, nous nous arrêterons dans la réserve dans un endroit appelé Pampa Cañahuas pour voir des volcans, mais aussi des camélidés comme les alpagas, les lamas et les vicuñas. L'arrêt n'est que de 15 minutes, mais vous verrez des volcans et des camélidés pendant plus d'une heure.

What a joke of a company. I booked a Colca Canyon tour for 7/2/2026 directly through their website, paid via PayPal, and received a confirmation email stating that I would be picked up from my hotel at 3:30 a.m. I woke up before dawn, got ready, and waited outside my hotel. When no one arrived by 3:40 a.m., I contacted the company. After a lengthy back and forth over WhatsApp, they finally admitted that they had made a mistake and that I would not be going on the tour. I only had one day/opportunity to visit Colca Canyon during my trip, and that experience was lost because of their error. To make matters more confusing, it appears that Local Tours Expert acts as an intermediary connecting tourists with local tour operators. Regardless, I booked through Trek the Colca’s website, received a confirmed reservation, and expected the company to honor it. Instead, my plans were canceled due to their mistake, not my choice. Do not book with this company. Go on GetYourGuide and book one with lots of reviews and save yourself from disappointment. I’m kicking myself for not doing the same earlier.
Unacceptable cooperation. They canceled our excursion at the last minute while we were waiting very early in the morning for them to pick us up. Because of the last-minute cancellation, we didn’t have enough time to book with someone else. We did not receive a full refund.
This trip was booked 3 months in advance. When I signed up, I confirmed my hotel location and received confirmation that I would be picked up. 3 am came and went and no show off the tour company! Completely out of luck for the day, no refund policy, buy beware!
We were waiting for our transport at 3am to our hotel to receive a cancellation notice at 3:35am for no reason. Very disappointed. We were in arequipa for this activity and we could not enjoy it.
Tour did not show up at 3am to 3:30 am. They cancelled on us earlier that morning without any notice. If we had know. The day prior we could have booked with a different company. Trek the Cocola provider is NO good. We came to Arequipa for the canyon and it was our only day that fit. If we had just known the day prior that they had NO intention of showing up we would have had time to find a different operator. Very disappointing. All other tours have worked flawlessly. DO NOT use track the Cocola!
Colca valley and canyon are stunning. We loved seeing the Condors so close and we enjoyed the hot springs. BUT the 3 hour journey there and 3 hours back were the most uncomfortable I have had on any excursion - there simply is not enough leg room for anyone over about 172 cm. My knees were rammed up hard against the seat in front, so think hard about booking this if you are over 172 cm. Plus we were dropped at one spot and told to be back at 9.30 (an hour after drop off) but it was nearly 10am by the time the minibus arrived, so we had stood around doing nothing for 30 minutes simply waiting.
Beautiful scenery despite the absence of condors!!! Discovery of the canyon, volcanoes... Pay attention to the entrance fees to the canyon. We give the pennies to the guide (I am with a child) and initially it was the total price for 2 while the poster indicates child prices. He came back to us because he got "a discount" on my son's ticket. I find myself having paid twice his ticket after checking at the hotel!!!!
My friends and I took a trip to Colca for a day, it was a long day but, it's worth it. My friends were fascinated with the wonderful view of the Colca Valley, the depth of the canyon and the flight of the condors. If you like to go to the Colca Valley in a day, I recommend you go between March and October. In these months there is the possibility of enjoying the flight of condors with greater possibility since, in the rainy season it can be difficult to appreciate them. Because I broke my ankle three four weeks ago, I wasn’t able to go on the tour. I was disappointed! I was also disappointed that I wasn’t able to get a refund; but I knew that in advance .
It was an amazing experience in the Colca canyon, we departed early in the morning around 3:30 am, the team arrived on time to our aribnb. The breakfast was good and the lunch was cheap considering we ate a lot. The altitude sickness could hit you very bad so it would be better to bring some medicine because it is hard to find it near the Canyon. I would recommend the experience!
