Description
Excursion incontournable, fumerolles à grande échelle, il vaut la peine de se lever tôt, il faut s'habiller chaudement pour affronter les températures de -10 à -15 degrés. Un environnement merveilleux qui offre la possibilité d'être très proche de différents types de Geysers qui très tôt le matin offrent des fumerolles impressionnantes. Nous offrons un copieux petit-déjeuner et des arrêts en route pour voir et observer la flore et la faune de l'Altiplano. Altitude 4 320 m. environ.

Itinéraire
El Tatio (du Kunza "tata-iu") qui signifie "le grand-père qui pleure", est l'un des champs de geysers les plus hauts du monde. Situé dans la Cordillera de los Andes au NE de San Pedro de Atacama, c'est le plus grand groupe de geysers de l'hémisphère sud. et le troisième plus grand au monde, après Yellowstone (États-Unis) et Dolina Giezerow (Russie). L'expression maximale de ces fumerolles commence entre 06h00 et 07h00. Environ. Avec des températures atteignant 85 C. Au retour, il est possible d'observer la faune comme les vigognes, les lamas, les nandous, les vizcachas, etc. Alors que en la flore se distinguent par le cactus géant, les llaretas, le coirón, etc. Nous observerons d'un point de vue, la petite ville de Machuca, ses quelques habitants se consacrent principalement au pâturage et à la production de fromage, très proche de de l'endroit se trouve la Laguna Salada où vivent des familles de flamants roses, de canards et de mouettes avec un paysage grandiose de beauté.

We had a wonderful experience on the El Tatio Geysers tour! The tour was very well organized, and a special mention goes to our guide and driver, Alex and Vanessa. They were both incredibly knowledgeable about the area and gave us clear and interesting explanations throughout the tour. They were also very friendly, fun, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. You could really feel their passion and expertise in the territory. The breakfast was also excellent and was a lovely touch, especially after the early morning start. Highly recommended
I reserved a trip, and then changed the date on Trip Ad isor. However, the operator must not have seen the date change because the old dates passed, and my trip disappeared. I lost my payment. So now I need to find another trip if I can.
The Geyser was one of the highlights of our trip. We managed to get a lot of great photos. We saw so many animals as well. We saw vicunas, American Rhea, flamingos and Viscachas. The guide and the driver took great care of us.

It was a great experience, the guide Alex and his companion (forgot the name) were wonderful. They explained everything patiently, very polite, fulfilled the schedules religiously. People like them make the walks easy and enjoyable.
I truly enjoyed my El Tatio Geyser tour with Marta and Andres. The communication leading up to the tour was excellent. They weee very clear about what clothing to wear (it can be very cold in the winter, so bring everything they suggest and you will be perfect). I really appreciated the door to door service, especially since the tour started very early in the morning. The bus was comfortable and climate controlled for the one and a half hour drive. Marta conducted the tour in Spanish and English which was very helpful. The tour stops were incredible. The geysers were interesting and beautiful but it was the overall experience of how the landscape transforms as the sun rises that I will remember. While the geysers were the highlight, the lagoon, wildlife, and flamingos were absolutely unique to Chile and made for an excellent tour.
