Long day, but we checked every box! Tour guide (Joe) was awesome and knew so much it made the trip very educational.
This was our first time to Jackson, Jackson Hole, the Tetons and Yellowstone. We decided that we wanted to do a guided tour of Yellowstone for the full day lower loop. We performed our research of the multiple tour companies but kept coming back to Teton Floats, which is based in Jackson. We were staying in Jackson, so it was perfect for us, and they picked us up right from our hotel. No driving for us! Jackson Floats a few days prior secured our lunch order and they also provide gluten free options for the picnic lunch which is great because my wife is strictly gluten free. We chose Thursday 6-25-26 for our tour. We were happily greeted by our tour guide, John Putrino who arrived at our hotel early. Little did we know as this time that John Putrino would make our guided tour the best experience we have ever had. We as a family are still riding on a high from this tour and we just flew home yesterday. John’s passion for Yellowstone and the Tetons along with his enthusiasm to research and provide us even the smallest of details was impactful. We started our journey out from the hotel entered Jackson Hole then the Tetons and into the south Yellowstone entrance. Well, let’s stop for a second and go back to the Tetons, John recognized some friends stopped alongside the road indicating there was presence for a chance of an animal sighting. We did stop momentarily but did not immediately locate anything and John out of respect for our schedule decided we needed to keep moving but just speak up if we see anything as we get moving. Magically just as we pulled out to proceed onward to Yellowstone the first magic of this tour commenced. We saw a glimpse of a bear. John Putrino maneuvered us into the perfect spot with a grizzly bear and her 2 cubs just in the distance. John gave us the most insightful bear knowledge including the exact grizzly bear 610 and her cubs. Unbeknownst to us John captured a few photos and videos for us in this fleeting moment to share with us at the end of the tour for us to have for a lifetime! This early high of this tour continued as we progressed to the south Yellowstone entrance. The awe and beauty of Yellowstone is simply breathtaking. John Putrino made all the difference separating this tour from any others. John’s knowledge base and research on the entire area is the pixie dust you simply won’t get this from any other tour guide. He seamlessly navigated us through Yellowstone and to all the points on the tour in a safe and precise manner. Each location John had extra insight and obscure details to provide. John brought an infrared thermometer to indicate the temperature of the various geothermal areas we visited. John displayed ultimate respect for Yellowstone National Park and all the animals we encountered. John led us by example on how we should respectfully navigate through the park and any interactions with the animals we would encounter. All the amenities were provided to us: scope for viewing animals in the distance, binoculars, cold drinks, delicious lunch provided by the river with picnic table cover, new spacious van. One would not want for anything on this tour as everything you would ever need is provided. We finished the lower loop and headed back to Jackson with the same enthusiasm we started off from the hotel that morning. John Putrino simply made all the difference and for that I am forever grateful for this trip. My family and I are still riding a high from this tour. We are unable to remove the smiles from our faces. John Putrino words are unable to describe my gratitude to you! I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this experience so extraordinary for Monet, Kate, Caroline and Craig! Thank you, Craig-
We booked the Yellowstone Lower Loop Tour for our first time visiting Yellowstone National Park and this was definitely the way to go. Our guide, David, was extremely knowledgable about the park and the natural environment. He also knew where to go to avoid traffic or parking issues throughout the day, which allowed us to see much more of the park than we would have been able to see on our own. We were able to just enjoy the day without worrying about logistics including having lunch, snacks and drinks included with our tour. Not only did we hit all the popular features at Yellowstone including geysers, hot springs, and waterfalls, but we also were able to see a lot of wildlife - including an unplanned stop or two, which created some of the most incredible moments. This tour (with David as your guide) is highly recommended if you want to see as much as possible and learn a lot about our national parks along the way!
I took the Yellowstone Lower Loop Full Day Tour on June 19th, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Wyoming. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, from the majestic Old Faithful to the colorful Grand Prismatic Spring and my favorite, the grand Lower Falls, photos of which don't do it justice. What truly made this tour exceptional was our tour guide, David. His knowledge of Yellowstone's history, geology, and wildlife was impressive, and he shared fascinating facts throughout the day. He was also incredibly friendly, patient, and well-organized, ensuring we arrived at Old Faithful at just the right time to witness its spectacular eruption. He made sure everyone was comfortable by providing hydration reminders and snacks, and he gave us plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy each stop. He even went the extra mile by taking photos for the group and sharing them with everyone afterward. David's enthusiasm and passion for Yellowstone were contagious and made the experience even more memorable. Thanks to his excellent storytelling and attention to detail, I left with a much deeper appreciation for this incredible national park. I highly recommend this Yellowstone Lower Loop Full Day Tour to anyone visiting the area, especially if you're fortunate enough to have such an outstanding guide leading the way! Děkuji, David.
This was one of the best experiences of our trip! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire tour enjoyable.
This was the best experience ever. Our tour guide, Joe D, was awesome. Great information provided along the trip and made sure we did not miss anything! Saw tons of animals and such amazing scenery that pictures just do not do justice.
David was knowledgable and entertaining. He had much enthusiasm and you could tell he loves his job. Very professional. Vast amount of knowledge on all things Yellowstone. History, animals, landmarks, botany, etc. He was quick to spot wildlife. It was a wonderful experience!
Beautiful par,. Very knowledgeable tour guide. David knew so much about the park and made all the Information interesting. Timed Old Fathiful perfectly.
It was nice to have a professional tour guide get us to the best spots for the Lower Loop sites. On top of that the wildlife that we encountered was amazing. Our tour guide Andy was very knowledgeable on the area and history.
A great way to explore the lower loop of Yellowstone. While others were waiting to get in to parking lots, we were dropped off and had plenty of time to explore top sites. Eddie even got us to the best spots to see bison, elk, and a grizzly bear. We missed out on seeing a moose, but I'll take the grizzly any day.
