It was very nice and the Royal tombs was better than I imagine. The most beautiful day trip i have been
I had a really good experience on this day trip. I get car sick quite easily, but the driver drove safely and didn’t speed, which made the journey much more comfortable. They were friendly, shared interesting information along the way, and everything was well organized. I’d recommend this tour.
We had an amazing day trip! Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience really great. Visiting the tombs was truly a highlight—they were incredibly impressive and fascinating to explore. We learned so much throughout the day and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
I recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and well-organized day trip. Even though my English is not very good, the driver was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the experience.
I had a fantastic experience on this day trip. The driver was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made me feel welcome throughout the daytrip! I was paired with another traveler I hadn't met before, and thanks to how enjoyable the trip was, we ended up booking our next trip together! I highly recommend this tour and would happily book with them again
The trip was cancelled less than 2 hours in advance!!! Luckily the concierge of my hotel ( Electra Palace) was able to organise the trip within 1/2 hour and even for a better price! Even poor and unreliable aren’t admitted in a review title!
The driver met us at our hotel with a " lets go " no hello or anything. His driving was to say the least erratic as in speed and lane control. He spent a lot of time looking and speaking to a lady sitting next to him, less on looking were he was driving. We were taken to some lovely places that he had a small amount of knowledge to share with us. Not a tour i would recommend., as it was very expensive compared to other companies.
So ... I cannot comment on the trip itself as it never happened for us. We booked this trip about 20 days in advance, realized on the day that we had booked the wrong date and quickly changed it. Now that's about 3 weeks notice. Turns out that Incoming Greece did not bother to update their records, but that's not the worst part... On the day, we waited to be picked up as advertised. No one came so we asked to hotel to call them. When they did and mentioned the name of the reservation, the agency hanged up - may be worth mentioning that I messaged them through trip advisor about 40 minutes prior to that, but never received a response. We were worried as we never received any directions on what to do and/or whether there was a specific timeslot that we would be picked up other than the generic time advertised. A few minutes later, I received a generic email detailing that they had approved our refund request - we never made one. I called them myself this time and demanded an explanation. I was told that they had not updated their records and they thought that we were meant to be with them the day prior - interestingly they never called us or contacted us the day prior, which would be reasonable to expect if we did not show. I asked the person whose phone number was on the booking confirmation to provide us with the tour that we had booked. They asked me for some time to look into it. About 5 - 10 minutes later, they messaged to let me know that they could provide us with a "premium tour" at the price of 230 euros which is a lot more than what we had initially paid. I did respond and asked for the initial tour instead, a request that was declined. I decided to leave this review in hopes to warn others. There are other agencies who do this tour for cheaper prices ... if I could turn back time, I would go for one of those rather than having an early wake up and essentially wasting most of the day trying to figure out what to do instead.
Excursion to Pella and Vergina on March 13. The Pella site is ... Pele. The interest lies in the museum which is superb. Vergina (the ancient Aigai) is an absolute must. Visiting the royal mound is... mind-blowing.
Excellent itinerary and Alexander was a great driver who used his knowledge to make the experience even better.
