Amboseli est situé dans les plaines du Kenya avec le Kilimandjaro en arrière-plan, le parc est célèbre dans le monde entier pour sa population importante d'éléphants d'Afrique qui peut être vu dans les troupeaux de plus de 100 individus. En particulier les grands éléphants de taureau ont certaines des plus grandes défenses dans le règne animal. Avec toute cette variété, vous pouvez être sûr qu'une population saine de prédateurs appelle aussi Amboseli. Les lions, les léopards, les caracals, les guépards, les chacals, les hyènes et les chats serval sont fréquemment vus dans le parc.

05h00: prise en charge à votre hôtel, résidence dans le quartier central des affaires de Nairobi ou à l'aéroport. Départ pour le parc national d'Amboseli via l'autoroute Nairobi - Mombasa. Nous attrapons le lever du soleil africain alors que nous progressons vers Amboseli La route du matin se fait par la savane africaine parsemée de fermes locales et de bergers masaï colorés faisant paître leur bétail. À votre arrivée à l'Amboseli, partez pour un safari en voiture à la recherche d'éléphant, de girafe, de zèbre, de lion, de guépard, de phacochère, d'autruche et plus encore ... Le mont Kilimandjaro domine l'horizon et le pays environnant. C'est la plus haute montagne d'Afrique et la plus haute montagne autoportante du monde. My husband and I had an absolutely perfect day at Amboseli! We saw more animals than we could have imagined seeing in one place. The lunch buffet was excellent and the setting beautiful. Samuel was our driver and guide, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. From the moment the day started we felt completely safe, relaxed, and welcomed. There was laughter throughout the entire day and he made the whole experience so enjoyable. Samuel is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the animals, and he shared so many interesting facts along the way. Thanks to his skill and dedication we were lucky enough to see elephants, hippos, a leopard, giraffes, and zebras — truly unforgettable! First of all, we were picked up exactly on time from our location, which already gave us a very good first impression. Our guide, Peter, showed a level of professionalism that is very rare to find. Throughout the safari he stopped the vehicle many times and patiently explained every animal we saw. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to make sure we understood what we were looking at. His patience and passion for the wildlife really made the experience special. Unfortunately, on the same day heavy floods started both in the national park and in Nairobi. This is where Peter’s incredible driving skills really became evident. Inside the park, we encountered water crossings that looked far too deep to pass, but Peter navigated them calmly and confidently. On the way back to the city, the situation became even more dramatic. Traffic was completely blocked because the water was flowing so strongly that many cars had to stop and wait. Peter showed an adventurous spirit and the skills of a professional driver, carefully maneuvering through tight spaces between vehicles—almost like a race driver—but always in a way that kept us completely safe. When we finally reached Nairobi, the flooding was even worse. To our surprise, Peter didn’t even need GPS—he knows Nairobi like the palm of his hand. Instead of staying stuck in the chaotic traffic, he guided us through small streets that probably only locals like him know. Twice we encountered powerful waves of water flowing into people’s houses. It felt like a scene from a movie. Even when it looked impossible to drive through the floodwater, Peter calmly demonstrated his driving skills and managed to cross areas where the water was close to one meter deep. In the end, we returned safely to our apartment. What was supposed to be a normal safari turned into an unforgettable adventure. Several times we were literally holding our breath, thinking we might get stuck somewhere. Peter is a humble, highly knowledgeable person, an experienced driver, and someone who knows both the park and the city extremely well. His competitive spirit and determination to always find the best way forward saved us from hours of traffic and made this experience truly unique. If you ever get the chance to do a safari with Peter as your guide, don’t hesitate, you will be in the best possible hands.

The trip was interesting. Joshua the driver was punctual enough and the journey went smooth. We had lot's of water on the way and food at Ol Tukai Lodge was amazing.

We had an amazing day at Amboseli Park. Samuel, our guide, not only drove safely but also made sure we got the best experience. We strogly recommend this visit! Sadly we could not see the Kilimanjaro as it was a cloudy day but still we felt we got so much in return! The Elephants are simply extraordinaire! Not to forget the zebras, the girafes, the flamingos and much more to see!

Due to flight delays, we (luckily) ended up with a full day in Nairobi and decided to make the most of it. Our guide, Samuel, made the day truly special, and we were fortunate enough to see four of the Big Five. We had an amazing time and made memories that will last forever.
