C'est le bâtiment le plus emblématique du palais, souvent appelé « Pavillon royal ». Construit dans un style thaïlandais, il se dresse magnifiquement au milieu d'un étang serein. Les voyageurs admireront la grande structure, qui servait autrefois de retraite royale. Les visiteurs peuvent prendre des photos, se promener dans la région et profiter du paysage paisible qui rehausse l'atmosphère de la royauté.
L'imposant chedi (stupa) de Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon est une autre caractéristique remarquable du temple. Avec ses 62 mètres de haut, c'est l'une des plus hautes structures des ruines d'Ayutthaya. Le chedi est recouvert de tissu doré et présente une base circulaire qui mène à une grande flèche conique. Les visiteurs peuvent monter les escaliers jusqu'au sommet du chedi pour profiter d'une vue panoramique sur les environs, y compris d'autres ruines de temples et la verdure luxuriante de la région.
Tête de Bouddha emblématique: La célèbre tête de Bouddha enlacée dans des racines d'arbres est l'une des caractéristiques les plus photographiées et symboliques du temple, représentant le passage du temps et la nature se réappropriant les créations humaines.
Beauté photographique: Lieu prisé des photographes, Wat Chaiwatthanaram est connu pour ses vues à couper le souffle et sa grandeur architecturale.

We had Bamboo as our tour guide and he was amazing he explained everything in detail and answered any questions we had. He also reminded us to drink our water and informed us the historical sites had free umbrellas we could use. We will definitely be booking with him again :)

Good experience with tour guide Bamboo, he was very informative about the history of Ayutthaya. Weather was nice and clear, sun was hot. But there was maybe coffeeshop to get cold drinks.
