We had an amazing time with them - great service and our tour guide John was amazing!
Here’s a polished review you can post: We had an absolutely incredible experience on our Machu Picchu tour. Our guide, John, was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history and significance of this amazing place. He brought the site to life with fascinating stories and insights while showing us the breathtaking surroundings. John was prompt, professional, and made the tour both informative and enjoyable. He even took some fantastic photos for us, which was a wonderful bonus! The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. Transportation was smooth, everything ran on time, and communication throughout the booking process was excellent. This was truly a 10/10 experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Machu Picchu. Thank you, John, for helping make our trip so memorable!
We had a great day with Cusco Local Friend and our Machu Picchu guide John. Everything from the train from Ollantaytambo all the way up to Machu Picchu and our guided tour together with John was above and beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend Cusco Local Friend if you plan to visit Peru.
We had an excellent experience on our Machu Picchu tour. Everything was organized perfectly from start to finish. Communication was flawless throughout the entire process, and all of our questions were answered in detail. Every pickup was on time, which made the trip smooth and stress-free. A special thank you to our tour guide, John, who made the day truly memorable. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained the history of Machu Picchu in an engaging and informative way, helping us gain a deeper appreciation of this incredible place. He also knew all the best viewpoints and helped us take fantastic photos. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and we had a wonderful day thanks to John and the excellent organization of the tour. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Machu Picchu.
John was our guide for a private tour of Machu Picchu. He was kind and personable. He knew all the great photo spots. John also provided great historical background. Would highly recommend
My friends and I had a fantastic tour! Our private guide John was not only funny, but he explained everything so nicely about Machu Picchu and really made us feel like we were friends. He also took some really fantastic photos that we will cherish for a lifetime (iykyk sometimes the pictures don’t turn out great lol). It was easy communication, the pick up and drop off was great from the train station, and would highly recommend booking with this company!! David and John, our brothers and we are so thankful for their services.
We were staying in Cusco and wished to get to Machu Picchu as early as possible, and with the help of Percy and Hugo we seamlessly started our day at 4:30am and smoothly went from car to train to bus to Machu Picchu and back again without any delays! We're so appreciative of how organized, communicative, and prompt everyone was. Once we arrived at the Machu Picchu train station, we were immediately met by our guide John, who had our bus tickets ready. Given the rainy weather and the fog, we were very lucky to have John there giving us guidance on where (and when!) to grab some of our favorite photos of the city. With the new circuit system, the crowds didn't feel very large, which was great. John also skillfully timed things as he shared the history of Machu Picchu with us so that we were never stuck behind a crowd or waiting in line to get through sections. John was also wonderfully informative and patient while we roamed around and looked at things, he helped us buy our return bus tickets, and then kindly walked us to our lunch spot with final reminders about our return train later that afternoon. Thank you again to the incredible team and guides at CLF for arranging this beautiful day for us! We couldn't have asked for a more ideal day trip!
For us it was well organised, from pick up at our hotel to touring the site. We were efficiently passed from driver to guide, there and back. The tour of the site does not need more said than we had an excellent and knowledgeable guide in Jhon who quietly and confidently assisted us through our visit. First class.
My husband and I had an amazing day exploring Machu Picchu. Every detail was taken care of for us (pick up from hotel in Urubamba, private car transport to Ullantaytambo, train to Aguas Calientes, shuttle bus to Machu Picchu entrance...and then everything again the other way), including assistance with booking an additional guide for my husband who has mobility issues. Machu Picchu itself is a must-see, and we were incredibly fortunate to have spectacular weather. And our guides were super knowledgeable and friendly. But the assistance that we received from Percy and Hugo at Cusco Local Friend made the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour...and this company...to anyone wanting to experience Machu Picchu!
We had such an awesome time visiting Machu Picchu with Cusco Local Friend Tour Company! We did Circuit 1 and 3, and honestly everything just flowed so smoothly from start to finish. Our guide John was great—super knowledgeable but also really easygoing and fun to be around. He shared a ton of interesting history without it ever feeling like a lecture, and made sure we hit all the best spots and views. They also took us to Full House for a meal, and wow—that place was a highlight on its own. Amazing setting, great food, and just a really nice break during the day. And the train ride? Way better than expected. Comfortable, scenic, and just a really cool experience getting there and back. Overall, just a really well put together tour with great people. Would 100% recommend if you’re planning a trip to Machu Picchu!
